4 Million Euros Investment Plan from Yünsa

Exporting to more than 50 countries with its innovative products, Yünsa closed 2020 with investments despite the pandemic. Expressing that they have closed 2020 better than the previous year thanks to their agile practices in the management of production costs, operating and financial expenses, Yünsa General Manager Mustafa Sürmegöz gave the message that they will continue to invest in 2021.
Mustafa Sürmegöz said that, “We are planning an investment of 4 million Euros gradually this year. We will prioritize renewals in paint and finishing businesses that will give Yünsa an advantage in competition, and technology investments suitable for industry 4.0 infrastructure. Starting from the third quarter of this year, as Yünsa, we aim to reach or even exceed the production figures we have realized before the pandemic.”
Sürmegöz continued his speech as follows. “Last year, we reviewed our strategies and focused on financial efficiency with our solid capital structure. We started to rapidly implement the accumulated investment plans of our company. We transformed our current structure into a much more agile. In the new year, we aim to continue our profitable growth without losing this agile structure. In addition, our radars are open to opportunities that may occur abroad.”
Turkish Fabric to England
Yünsa makes a name for itself in the international arena with its ready-to-wear production as well as supplying woolen fabrics to world-renowned brands. Yünsa, which has produced more than 500 thousand pieces of ready-to-wear garments to date, exported 66 percent of these garments to England. Yünsa General Manager Mustafa Sürmegöz said, “We export quality and design to England, which is famous for its yarn and fabric. In addition to our woolen fabrics, we are promoting Turkish fabric in the UK with collections of ready-to-wear products designed with these fabrics. ”
Expressing that ready-to-wear production is preferred especially by European-based fashion brands, Sürmegöz, “Our biggest markets after England are France, Germany and Northern European countries. Our production of the ready-to-wear of the 19 percent portion, we produce for Turkey. We get a turnover of 17 million dollars a year from this production.” said.
Fabric that Skincare from Yünsa
Yünsa, added a new one to its products that add innovation to textiles and it produced that Turkey’s first avocado oil mixed woolen fabric.
Yünsa General Manager Mustafa Sürmegöz stated that they are following the technology closely and pioneering the change in the sector. Saying that “As an industry, we are where fashion and trend begin.” Sürmegöz noted therefore, Yünsa always prioritizes R&D and innovation. Sürmegöz noted that the fabric they named AvoCare emerged with this approach and reflected technology into production and continued as follows:
“At Yünsa, we successfully implemented the AvoCare finishing project, which emerged as a result of the work of our R&D and P&D teams. Thanks to our technological infrastructure in the production line, we transfuse avocado oil into wool fabric. With AvoCare fabrics that are included in Yünsa’s 2020-2021 collection, we have introduced products that provide natural softness with avocado content to the sector.”
Avocado oil, which contains beta carotene, linoleic acid and vitamins A, D and E, is frequently used in the cosmetics industry due to its moisturizing properties. In addition, scientific research shows that avocado oil helps to heal wounds and increase collagen production in the skin.
