Akkim Receives the Highest Score in Zero Hazardous Waste Control
In this period we are in, the understanding of conscientious production-consumption on behalf of a livable world has become widespread and the priority of companies is moving towards being sustainable. While the importance attached to the sensitivity of the environment and human health increases in industrial production, the performance of companies in this field is measured and announced to the public transparently through the audit programs of international organizations. Akkim Kimya, which prioritizes sustainability, participated in the Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals-ZDHC certification program of Hazardous Chemicals and successfully passed the audit.
Akkim Kimya has taken its activities in this field one step further in line with its targets of ‘‘Sustainable chemical management’’. Achieving high success with 93.94 points in the ZDHC audit, where textile chemicals are evaluated, Akkim got the best score in Turkey. Compliance checks and tests of the chemicals on the List of Restricted Substances in Production in the audit were completed, and the final products were approved as safe by an independent organization. Akkim’s audited products can be viewed on the ZDHC Gateway portal.

In addition, Akkim, which is among the “Bluesign®” system partners, which is one of the standards that helps the textile industry move towards sustainable targets, continues its efforts to raise the Gold awareness level in EcoVadis sustainability rating to Platinum level.
