“Intense Interest Shown to ITM 2022 is Hopeful”
Güven Öz, the owner of Özbilim
Having participated in ITM 2022, the first big textile machinery fair in the world, held at Tüyap Congress Center after 3 years, Güven Öz, the owner of Özbilim, stated that their production has been going on for a long time, but they could’nt share them with their customers. Öz said: “Many innovations were made in the R&D department of our company. For three years, we could not find the opportunity to promote our products at any exhibition. It is promising that there is such a lot of interest in the ITM 2022 Exhibition. I think that this exhibition will have a great impact and contribution to introduce the technological developments that we have just made.”
Indicating that e-textile occupies a large space at the ITM 2022 Exhibition, unlike the previous ones, Öz stated that they hosted a huge number of visitors from all fields of textiles. Öz also said, “We hope that we will sign a lot of cooperation during this exhibition. We have several innovations that we have made as a company. This exhibition made a great contribution to us in terms of the opportunity to introduce them to our customers.”
Informing that they have two products to the fore at ITM 2022, Güven Öz continued: “The first one is about fabric spreading and the other is about the automatic cutting of the fabric. We also have a system that reveals the faults encountered on the fabric with the projection feature that we utilize as virtual reality on the spreading machine. In particular, we will introduce this unit to the visitors.”
Öz stated that the virtual reality program they offer to their customers is the only patented product in the world; and continued: “As you know, fabric is the main input in textile apparel production. The savings that will be made here are very important. Also it is important that the machines are in communication with the operator during operation. This means exactly: It is important that this information can be filtered and retrieved from the machine in order to collect some information from the machine in a common pool during or at the beginning of the job. When we reflect the marker layouts on the fabric by means of projection, both time and fabric savings are achieved by detecting the visible errors before cutting the fabric.”
Stating that the Turkish textile sector has always been moving forward with a certain momentum, Öz said that he believes that the sector will become more and more in a better position. Öz also said: “During the pandemic process, we felt that the manufacturers did not stay idle and everyone continued to make their investments. This has moved the sector even higher. And we all know that Turkey is at a very important point in terms of geographical location. We need to use this well. I believe that the industry is making good use of this right now. In any case, the figures show this to us with the previous years and this year’s export amount.’’
