Bossa to Produce Denim Fabric from Soy Fiber
Celebrating its 70th anniversary this year, Bossa R&D Center is working on many projects. Bossa R&D Center Manager Serdal Sırlıbaş said, “As a result of the studies involving one ‘Scientific Research’ and three TUBITAK projects, the share of the commercialized products in the total turnover reached 12 percent.”
The Company Aims 25 Percent Growth
Bossa increased its annual fabric production of 36 million meters to 50 million meters with the investments made in 2018. The company aims to grow by 25 percent in the next 5 years with new products to be developed in the R&D Center and investments to be made in this direction.
Pointing out that the academic cooperation has increased and the technical infrastructure has been strengthened in Bossa with the R&D Center, which became operational 4 years ago, Sırlıbaş said, “With these studies, the number of our colleagues who are included in the graduate program has increased. We have applied for 22 patents in the last 3 years. We cooperate with many R&D centers and universities, especially paint, chemical suppliers and ready-made sellers.”
Exports 80 Percent of Its Production
