Bursalı Among Turkey’s R&D Champions
Bursalı, Turkey’s largest exporter of towels has been selected among Turkey’s R&D champions for its R&D and innovation activities, tp which it attaches a great deal of importance.
Bursalı, Turkey’s largest exporter of towels, continues to bear fruits of its R&D and innovation researches with a focus innovation.
Boasting to have Turkey’s first and only R&D and Design Center,Bursalı was selected among Turkey’s R&D champions by the the prepared by Turkishtime titled “R&D 250, Turkey’s Companies with Largest R&D Investments 2018”.
The company ranked in the 5th place among the top 50 companies with R&D Centers in terms of the number of design registrations received in 2018 and the 16th place among the top 50 firms in terms of utility models.
However, Bursalı ranked in the 231st place among the top 250 companies with biggest R&D expenditures in Turkey, and in the 79th among the top 100 companies by the number of projects carried out in the R&D Center, and the 50th based on the number of patents developed in the R&D Center in Turkey.

Noting that as Bursalı they are very much delighted to be listed among Turkey’s companies with biggest R&D expenditure in many categories, Bursalı’s CEO Alper Bursalı said they will continue their investment activities for the R&D and innovation at full speed.

Stating that they focus on productivity and added-value in production, Bursalı congratulated all their colleagues who contributed to this success with their useful products to end users all over the world and with the products they developed with a focus on people and environment.
Leading the industry
On the other hand, while the existing knowledge and production experience is combined with competent manpower at Bursalı’s R&D Center, all kinds of production, testing, design, analysis and strategy are carried out at high standards and the company continues to lead the industry in the production of value-added products.
A total of 31 projects have been carried out in Bursalı’s R&D Center in the fields of process and new product development, saving energy resources, while the R&D Center has 28 patents/utility models and 600 design registrations.
In addition, the company is currently working on 3 projects with patent applications and 10 utility models.
As might be recalled, Bursalı had been selected as Turkey’s 65th most innovative company at InovaLIG, where the most innovative companies competed.
