DeFacto Secures Its Sustainability Journey Through Responsible Cotton Sourcing
Global fashion brand DeFacto is sharing its cotton story on October 7, World Cotton Day, to promote a more responsible, fair, and sustainable future. By sourcing 25% of its cotton from Better Cotton, DeFacto transparently shares this journey every year through its Integrated Sustainability Report.
With an awareness of being a responsible brand in fashion, DeFacto approaches cotton—the textile industry’s most important raw material—with care. On World Cotton Day, the brand emphasizes once again that its responsible sourcing approach adds value to nature, people, and the future. DeFacto transparently shares its responsible cotton journey with customers through the annual Integrated Sustainability Report, supporting a fairer and more sustainable world.

Sustainability Vision at the Intersection of Nature, Value, and Transformation
In 2024, DeFacto sourced 25% of its cotton from Better Cotton, the world’s largest sustainable cotton program, and is steadily progressing toward its 2027 target of 50%. Better Cotton supports farmers in developing knowledge and skills while promoting reduced pesticide use and better soil and water management practices.

Operating under the principle that sustainable production adds value not only to the environment but also to societies, Better Cotton ensures decent working conditions for farmers, empowers women in agriculture, and helps reduce inequalities in local communities.
Since 2014, DeFacto has shared its responsible growth journey with customers and stakeholders through its annual Integrated Sustainability Report. Published under the theme of “Nature, Value, Transformation,” the report reflects the brand’s journey inspired by nature, aimed at adding value to people and the future, demonstrating that true transformation is only possible with people.
