You have been in the textile industry since 1993. Can you tell us abouty your company`s development? What is your most important philosophy?
Denge Kimya operated as a trading firm for the first ten years following its establishment. Between 2001-2004, it underwent a transformation. In those years, it began production and also became a company operating throughout Turkey, ceasing to be a local company. Now, as a Bluesign system partner, Denge Kimya has 7 distributors abroad. Our company is a 5-star EFQM company and continues its activities as a manufacturer of textile chemicals providing to each location in Turkey. Apart from the satisfaction of all our employees on this journey, our most important philosophy is to create change for our customers and remain transparent.
What are the criteria that you especially pay particular attention to in your productions as Denge Kimya?
Our company was declared as the R&D center approved by the Ministry in December 2016. Production and the R&D processes are integrated into each other in all areas of our production processes. We continuously improve our products at our Innovation and Science center with advanced equipments. With our R&D activities, we produce special products, which are sensitive to human and environmental health, and we offer solutions for the needs in the domestic and foreign markets and the customer demands, which we always prioritize.
How do you evaluate the position of textile chemicals in the textile industry and their importance and contribution to the textile companies?
Increasing costs in the textile finishing sector and falling demand for textile due to the economic problems in the market have begu nto make things difficult for textile companies. I believe that priority should be given to these production technologies since eco-friendly textile production will be obligatory for the textile products to be used in the forthcoming period. Also, production technologies that use energy and water conservation and provide their recovery also must be used. Our biggest contribution to the industry, as a producer of textile chemicals, is to create environment-sensitive products that reduce the costs for textile companies such as labor and energy. For this reason, as Denge Kimya, we develop projects on methods that reduce energy and process costs in the textile chemicals industry and introduce them to the market.
Could you tell us about your products? Which products of yours receive the most demands?
Our main products as Denge Kimya are all auxiliary chemicals used in textile pretreatment and finishing processes, silicones, foam cutters, resins, special finishing materials, special auxiliary chemicals and industrial chemicals used in textile wet treatments.
Our most popular products are is the group of products developed with the philosophy of creating difference in the customer and create value for our customers. Especially the Denova series (Denova is the name of our our innovative product line) includes almost all of our most demanded products because it is a product group that solves the important problems in textile finishing processes, and saves energy and time.
What are you careful about in your investments in order to sustain your competitiveness and quality?
The EFQM Excellence Model, which we have truly adopted, was established in 1988 with 14 members. Its objective is “to be the driving force to ensure the sustainable excellence of organizations in Europe”. We started the management journey with the EFQM Excellence Model in 2008. We obtained the EFQM Committed to Excellence Certificate in 2011 and the 3-Star EFQM Excellence in Competence Certificate in 2014. In 2016, we raised our level again and reached the highest level of 5 stars. Today, Denge Kimya has the best practices for EFQM Excellence practices in Turkey to be a reference in the textiles and performance chemicals industry as well as the innovations it has achieved in the fields of R&D and production. Also, continuity is maintained by using automation systems in production.
Do you make technological updates according to customer demands? How do you approach such needs and demands?
Our technological updates are constantly ongoing in our R&D center. New technologies are followed for the projects we are working on, and investments on devices are made when necessary.
Can you talk a little about your after-sales services?
Today, we have a process starting from product development, to after-sales services before a product sale. Of course, after-sales service is one of the most important steps in this process. We continuously follow up with our products after sales to our customers. We identify open requiring improvement and produce solutions. In processes with problems, we organize processes by collaborating with our technical team together with our customers.
What are your latest innovations and what projects do you have for the future?
Our main activities in our R&D center include additive supply for industrial dyeing, especially textile auxiliary chemicals. Our work continues with approximately 15 projects and 30 employees in line with our strategy. Some of these projects are carried out in parallel with the support programs. Thanks to our R&D activities, we include in our production line the development of surfactant matters, which is one of our prioritied areas, the synthesis and production of vegetable substance, and the production of many products which is not available in Turkey yet. In the meantime, with the Innovation Workshops, our company keeps on revising the road maps for innovation, continues to discuss the projects that reflect the vision, and takes care to create platforms that can feed the researches.
You have participated in the ITM 2018 Exhibition. How did it go for you? Can you tell us about your expectations from the ITM 2020?
During four days at the exhibition, we have introduced to our distinguished guests from textile businesses, Denovy Speedy, Denova Bleach, Denova Worker, Denwet PB MAX and the denim chemicals for which the product range was renewed, and the coating chemicals we have included in our product range. Especially our denim and coating chemicals attracted great interest during the exhibition. We introduced the latest trends in the market to our customers, we tried to listen to their problems and to offer solutions. In short, we can say that the ITM 2018 has met our expectations and it hs been a good event. Our expectation from the ITM 2020 is that it attracts a bigger number of international visitors.
