Denizli Participated in Heimtextil with 69 Companies
Denizli’s textile manufacturers participated in the Heimtextil Fair, one of the most important global events in the home textile sector, held from January 14 to 17. A total of 69 Denizli companies participated in the fair, with the Denizli Exporters’ Association also participating for the 9th time with the Turkish Towels brand.
Heimtextil 2025, with over 3,000 participants from 142 countries, continues to shape the future of textile interior design. The leading trade fair for home textiles, contract textiles, and textile design ended with another increase in the number of participants rates. Over four days, more than 50,000 buyers experienced the newest collections, materials, and textile solutions for all interior design purposes from over 3,000 exhibitors. The Heimtextil Trends 25/26, organized by Alcova Milano, and the ‘among-us’ installation by star designer Patricia Urquiola set new standards for interior design, retail, and hospitality. The content program focused on AI-driven design, sustainable production processes, and the future of interior spaces.
Detlef Braun, Member of the Executive Board of Messe Frankfurt, stated: “Steady growth and a very high level of internationality confirm Heimtextil’s strength. Especially in challenging times, Heimtextil offers companies the opportunity to strengthen their market positions through international visibility, defining and realizing potentials, and developing new global business partners.”
“Turkish products were showcased in about 20% of the fair’s space.”
A total of 69 companies from Denizli participated in the fair. Denizli Exporters’ Association (DENİB), for the 9th time with its Turkish Towels brand, also promoted Turkish towels through advertisements at key locations in the fair’s exhibition area. DENIB was represented at the fair by DENIB Vice Chairman Sedat Erikoğlu.
DENIB President Hüseyin Memişoğlu emphasized that Heimtextil is a significant opportunity to establish new business connections and strengthen existing relationships, stating, “Before the pandemic, the number of visitors to the fair was over 60,000, and last year it was 46,000. The number of exhibitors was already close to pre-pandemic levels at 2,800. It is worth noting that although Turkiye ranks fourth in the number of stands, it is the country with the largest exhibition area in terms of square meters. Approximately 20% of the fair’s space was dedicated to Turkish products.”
Memişoğlu highlighted that Denizli showcased its innovative products, stylish collections, and quality-focused approaches to international buyers. “We also reached a wider audience with our sustainability philosophy. Additionally, many companies from our region attended the fair as visitors. We hosted them for business meetings at the Turkish Towels stand. Our colleagues at DENİB were available to support our companies,” he said.
More than half of Turkiye’s home textile exports come from Denizli.
Memişoğlu drew attention to the fact that Denizli is a significant player in the home textile sector, not only in Turkiye but also globally, saying, “76% of Turkiye’s towel exports, 67% of bathrobe exports, and 60% of bedding exports come from our region. We continue to lead in these product groups across the country and maintain our value-added position. It is a source of pride to see the strength of our region in the international arena. To maintain this success, we must follow the latest trends, act in the light of innovation, and make sustainability our core strategy. We must take part in more international platforms to evaluate new opportunities, increase our export numbers, and further raise awareness of our presence in the sector.”
Memişoğlu explained that sustainability and innovation are among the key topics in the textile sector today, adding, “Producers in Denizli are undergoing a significant transformation. Sustainability is no longer an option, but a necessity. Our companies in Denizli are taking serious steps to develop environmentally friendly and innovative products. Heimtextil is an ideal platform to showcase these efforts and demonstrate our compliance with global standards.”
