“We Believe the Industry Will Return to a Growth Trend”
Kılıçkıran stated that the textile machinery sector has experienced a contraction in demand in recent years, largely due to the slowdown in the global economy, regional conflicts and increasing trade tensions. Expressing her belief that the industry is approaching the bottom of the current cycle, Kılıçkıran said she expects the textile sector to enter a new phase of growth and investment in the coming years.
“Istanbul’s Strategic Location Strengthens International Participation”
Kılıçkıran stated that Istanbul’s geographical location plays a significant role in the success of ITM 2026 and emphasized that Türkiye’s position at the crossroads of major markets such as Europe and the Middle East provides a major advantage for the exhibition.
She noted that despite regional challenges, Türkiye continues to be an accessible and secure destination for international visitors, which encourages professionals from different countries to attend ITM. Kılıçkıran concluded by saying that ITM’s international visitor profile and global reach make an important contribution to connecting the Turkish textile machinery industry with world markets.
