Technical Textile and Nonwoven Sector Prepares for HIGHTEX 2022

According to the foreign trade data of Turkey’s textile exports for the first 6 months of 2021, an increase of 1.6% was recorded in technical textiles, and 1.2 billion dollars were exported. Nonwovens product group constituted 32% of this export. In this period, Turkey’s nonwoven textile  exports amounted to 398 million dollars.

The second most important product group was bags and gunny bags  for packaging made of technical textiles, with an export figure of 201 million dollars and a share of 15.4%. The third most important product group was ready-made garments made of technical textiles, with an export figure of 167 million dollars and a share of 13.4%.

Technical textiles and nonwovens industry has come a long way in the last 1.5 years

Turkey, which has attracted the attention of the world with its production capacities and innovative products in the technical textiles and nonwoven sector, especially in the last 1.5 years, will also host the HIGHTEX International Technical Textiles and Nonwovens Fair, which will be held at Istanbul Tuyap Fair and Congress Center on 14-18 June 2022.

HIGHTEX 2022, which is the first and only fair in its field in Turkey; will host the world’s leading technical textile and nonwoven manufacturers in Istanbul for 5 days.

HIGHTEX 2022 Exhibition, where many domestic and foreign companies will exhibit their latest technologies and products; many people will visit from medical to garment, from decoration to cosmetics, from automotive to defense sector.
