Hammer-IMS Celebrates First Year in Belgium Office with “Open House” Event
Hammer-IMS, a Belgium-based manufacturer of high-tech machinery offering solutions and sensors in the field of industrial quality and process control, celebrated the first year of their move to their new offices in Herk-de-Stad (Belgium) with an “Open House” event.
Hammer-IMS received about 120 guests during its “Open House” event, including employees, family, customers, suppliers, etc. The attendees were able to see innovative industrial quality control devices at work that the company develops and commercializes worldwide. Hammer-IMS recently opened an office in the US and strengthens its position as a world leader in industrial quality control through a resolute innovation policy.
Through the determination and dedication of two engineers, Hammer-IMS has become a success story in the field of industrial measurement systems. Tom Redant and Noël Deferm, two Limburg engineers who graduated from KU Leuven, founded Hammer-IMS in 2016 and together embarked on a challenging journey that brought the company to where it is today.
In the early years, Hammer-IMS was characterized by a strong drive for innovation and an ambitious vision for the future. The company initially established itself on the Corda Campus, the renowned Limburg innovation hub in Hasselt. The strategic decision to settle here provided an environment with a strong support, and marked the beginning of their growth. Hammer-IMS has proven that companies in such hubs can become self-reliant in the relatively short term and successfully evolve further.
Hammer-IMS Presented Its Achievements and Future Plans with Open House Event
Gradually, Hammer-IMS expanded its horizons. The need for a larger space to accommodate their growing activities made the company move to its own office in Herk-de-Stad. Now, after its first full year in Herk-de-Stad, Hammer-IMS is celebrating this milestone with an ‘Open House’ event to showcase its achievements and future plans and share them with the local community and parties involved for a long time.
Recently, Hammer-IMS’ story took an international turn with the opening of its new office in Spartanburg, South Carolina. This location in the United States offers stronger growth opportunities for the company in the American market. In addition to ongoing projects with existing customers in America, this office places Hammer-IMS at the epicenter of new business opportunities.
Geographically, Hammer-IMS customers are now spread across Western Europe, some installations in the US and China, and more recently Australia and South Korea. With this, the company demonstrates its evolution towards a global reach. Hammer-IMS’ patented technology, developed during its time at KU Leuven, helped the company to establish itself as an established market player, but also as a leader in industrial quality control. The strong innovative power of Hammer-IMS illustrates the potential of European expertise in smart manufacturing and industry 4.0.
Hammer-IMS is also supported by a network of strong and committed investors, of which LRM is the best-known name in the Limburg region. The collaboration between the professional investors behind the company underlines Hammer-IMS’ reputation as a sector player and the company’s far-reaching ambitions.
The story of Hammer-IMS illustrates how successful entrepreneurship translates into growth in different sectors and regions. It emphasizes the importance of innovative ideas and sustained efforts. From the start at Corda, Hammer-IMS has grown into a global player that helps shape, strengthen and propagate industrial innovation in Belgium.
