Heberlein Drives Growth in Synthetic Filament Yarn Production With Turkish Partner
Interview: Tuğba Karademir
Heberlein is driving growth in synthetic filament yarn production in Türkiye by strengthening its collaboration with its Turkish partner Bozok, and aims to showcase its advanced technology solutions at ITM 2026.
Heberlein has established a strong position in synthetic continuous filament yarn production in the Turkish market through its close collaboration with Bozok Mümessillik Makina Kimya San. ve Tic. A.Ş. With the industry expertise of Senior Regional Sales Manager Martin Toti, the company meets evolving customer needs by offering solutions focused on quality, performance, and sustainability, and will showcase these achievements at ITM 2026.
How was the year 2025 for Heberlein?
In 2025, Heberlein was facing a high demand both in DTY and spinning. We have set important foundations for the future. Most of all, our investments in the machinery park enhance the Heberlein competitiveness and create the technical basis for greater efficiency, quality and innovative strength. This modernisation is a crucial step towards ensuring our continued success in the years to come.
PolyJet-TG-3 has been highlighted as an advanced solution for technical textile production. Could you explain the unique advantages of its technology compared to other filament yarn solutions, and how it meets the evolving demands of the industry?
For producers of demanding technical yarns, the magnification of the yarn evenness with a PolyJet-TG-3-HP405A/WO70 (TopAir) looks stunning. The new generation of jets impresses with an unmatched even and uniform interlacing density as well as with strong, reliable knots for high tenacity yarn – HT and HMLS. Heberlein’s latest PolyJet-TG-3 achieves more than 12 knots per meter with 1100f98dtex and 1670f98dtex. Yarn parameters of tensile strength, elongation, and elasticity show smaller variations, for ultimate quality benefits, as well as improved unwinding behaviour of the bobbins.
“Türkiye is The Important Textile and Filament Yarn Production Hub Between Europe and Asia”
Türkiye is an important market for Heberlein. How do you plan to strengthen your cooperation with Turkish textile manufacturers, and what solutions are particularly attractive to this market?
Heberlein is globally recognised as the leading provider of air interlacing and air texturing jets for synthetic filament yarns. In Türkiye, the brand has built a strong market presence thanks to its close cooperation with its experienced representative Bozok Mümessillik Makina Kimya San. ve Tic. A.Ş. in Istanbul. Together, we support Turkish filament yarn producers with advanced technology, local expertise, and trusted services.
Türkiye is the important textile and filament yarn production hub between Europe and Asia. With a dynamic, export-oriented business, Turkish producers continuously invest in high-performance technologies to ensure efficiency, quality, sustainability, and satisfied international customers.
Heberlein’s expertise in air interlacing and air texturing perfectly matches the requirements of the Turkish synthetic yarn market. Producers demand stable processes, reduced air consumption, consistent interlacing quality, and long service life – all key strengths of Heberlein solutions.
May you provide an example of a Heberlein solution meeting these needs?
Heberlein APe142 and APe143 enable significant compressed air savings. In direct comparison with our previous jet inserts, they achieve an average compressed air reduction of 15% – without any loss of quality. Users also benefit from the typical Heberlein advantages, like long service life thanks to high-quality materials, and unique position uniformity ensured by tight manufacturing tolerances.
Sustainability and eco-friendly production are central priorities in the global textile industry. What initiatives or innovative technologies has Heberlein developed to reduce environmental impact, and how do these solutions contribute to your competitive advantage?
The Heberlein APe series interlacing jets significantly reduce compressed air consumption, yet maintain the same number of interlacing knots – saving energy and helping the environment. Jets in the APh series meet the most stringent requirements for interlacing stability, underlining that ‘Advanced Performance’ from Heberlein means unique performance with no compromises in yarn quality and process reliability.
ITM 2026 International Textile Machinery Exhibition will be one of the key meeting points for the global textile machinery industry. Which technologies or innovations will Heberlein showcase at ITM 2026, and what kind of solutions will you highlight particularly for filament yarn and technical textile producers?
Advances in high-performance yarns have produced versatile alternatives to traditional raw materials in a number of industries and applications. Customized filament yarns now meet specific needs in diverse sectors, such as automotive, aviation, maritime, medical, and construction. Swiss-made key components from Heberlein are at the forefront of these developments, bringing optimum new technology to the core of filament yarn innovation. We are going to showcase the Heberlein PolyJet-TG-3 and a new AirSplicerBasix that was especially designed for technical yarns – including aramid, glass, and carbon.
We look forward to welcoming our customers and visitors at ITM in Istanbul, in Hall 7 at Booth 708A, and to diving deeper into the fascinating world of producing state-of-the-art synthetic continuous filament yarns.
