Innovative Solutions for the Finishing Industry from Red Carpet
The company has been founded with the aim to provide innovative solutions in the textile finishing machinery field and is based on competence, reliability and experience of its staff.
Strongly convinced that “much has been done but more needs to be done”, Red Carpet has created an industrial project where the proximity to the market and the ability to listen and grasp its open issues, has brought out of needs not fully met by the machines offered by the market.
The design activity initially focused on decatizers for natural and synthetic woven fabrics.
A careful study of these variables that have a positive influence on the “handle” and on the dimensional stability of woollen and synthetic fabrics, has driven Red Carpet’s “design tasks” and led to the creation of a range of decatizers and steamers that have distinguished themselves for

- Innovative content
and allow
- To get an higher quality (in terms of fabrics “handle” and stabilization) in comparison to what obtainable with similar machines;
- To get costs advantage by shortening the production process;
- A productivity normally higher than the one possible with similar machines.
The innovative activity has been proven by obtaining 2 patents that make the Wool Power the benchmark in the decatizing process for wool and synthetic fabrics and their blends.
The Extra Power Patent guarantees crushing, “hand” and aesthetics results that have not been matched up to now thanks to the pressure exerted on the fabrics (up to 2 kg / cm2) while they are inside the steaming tank
The Infrareds Lamps Patent ensures an absolute uniformity effect on the treated fabrics, a minor blanket wear and tear and confers a “naturally conditioned hand” to the processed fabrics. This results in a much longer blanket life time, if compared to similar machines
The next step was then to introduce innovative steaming machines as they often go hand in hand with decatizers in the wool sector.
The range is composed by three models named “HYBRID B” –free steamer on belt, “HYBRID C” – steamer/levelling frame on chains, “HYBRID Plus” – steamer/levelling frame on chains and/or on belt.
Common features to the three models are:
- Dynamic steaming action: The steam is forced to pass through the fabric thus amplifying the steam/humidity absorption;
- Telescopic steam dispensers: Ensure a steaming action only limited to the width of the fabric under process, disregarding the width of the machine;
- Hybrid technology: Allows to mix steam and water as desired thus enabling a substantial saving on the steam consumptions
The latest design activity in terms of time has led to the construction of a felt compactor having innovative contents and named ‘Flash Memory’. It represents a true breakthrough that radically renews the felt compaction concepts
Its technology grants the following advantages:
– Daily production greatly increased; |
– Reduced maintenance costs and production downtime; |
– Improved dimensional stability of the processed fabrics; |
– Best compacting results not depending on the working speed. |
Also in this case the innovative activity has been proven by obtaining 3 patents.
The Compactor’s Shoe, that on the traditional compactors it is made in consumable material and therefore requires a continuous maintenance and repeated replacements is of Metallic type and is built in anti-friction material (PATENT) and consequently its maintenance costs and the consequent downtime are significantly reduced.
In addition the ‘Metallic Shoe’ can be tensioned (PATENT) to adapt to the different working needs required by the different types of fabric. As a consequence the fabric is optimally hold on the felt and this ensures that the fabric follows perfectly the closing movement of the felt.
The Memory Patent ensures the best exploitation of the felt compaction capacity and allows to lock the compaction values achieved during the process. As a result the production speed can be substantially increased and the daily production is significantly increased.
