New Technology from Luwa Air Engineering: Axial Flow Fan
One of the participants of the ITMA Press Conference organized by Swissmem in Bern was Luwa Air Engineering Regional Sales Manager Guillermo Franganillo del Rio. Sharing information about this company at the conference, Franganillo del Rio introduced the new fan called Axial Flow Fans, which they will exhibit at the ITMA 2023.
Luwa Air Engineering, which has extensive experience as a leading supplier of air conditioning and filtration systems for the textile industry, was founded in Switzerland in 1935. The company, which has branches in America, Turkey, China, India and Singapore, representation in more than 50 countries and more than 400 employees, was acquired by the Nederman Group in 2018.
Stating that Luwa is basically a part of Nederman Process Technology, a company specializing in textiles, Franganillo del Rio said, “Luwa company; It operates in the fields of textile air engineering (spinning, weaving and knitting), process conditioning (synthetic fiber, technical textiles and nonwovens) and industrial air engineering (tissue, paper and food).”
Nederman Group, a global environmental technologies company focusing on industrial air filtration; It has 2500 employees worldwide. The company, which has sales companies and agencies in more than 50 countries, has a sales volume of 454 million Swiss Francs in 2022.
Providing services in four different areas such as Extraction & Filtration Technology, Process Technology, Duct & Filter Technology and Monitoring, Nederman Group has a product portfolio that appeals to different types of industries. These products; It is used in areas such as composite, metalworking, oil mist filtration, waste and recycling, foundries, gas turbines, asphalt and cement.
“Our Focus Is on Energy Efficient, Durable and Sustainable Products”
Expressing that the Nederman Group has attached importance to sustainability, responsible use of energy and respect for the environment since its establishment, Franganillo del Rio said, “We help our customers create value by increasing product efficiency, improving work environments and reducing environmental impact. As an environmental technology company, the Nederman Group is very committed to sustainability, taking it very seriously and constantly investing in it.”
Talking about the company’s projects on sustainability and respect for the environment, Franganillo del Rio said: “We have installed solar panels that produce solar energy at our Luwa facility in India and 1000 homes there. We started a 100% renewable energy usage project at our facility in Friesenheim, Germany. Our goal is to have a 100% electric vehicle fleet. Nederman Group President Sven Kristensson takes care to attend each of these meetings and keeps people informed. Our sustainability policies are in effect. 95% of the world’s population breathes polluted air. At Nederman we have laid the groundwork for our new global Innovation, Development and Testing and Experience Center in Helsingborg to research and develop the new technologies needed to restore these figures.”
Underlining that Luwa is a company that focuses on efficiency, productivity and sustainability, Guillermo Franganillo del Rio also gave information about the product Axial Flow Fan, which will be exhibited by his company at the ITMA 2023. Developed to increase energy efficiency, quality, durability and sustainability, this product reduces weight, material usage, unwanted oscillations, vibrations, and consequently overall energy and operating costs.
Franganillo del Rio told the following about Axial Flow Fans: “The impeller with its characteristic sickle shaped blades is designed for optimal aerodynamic performance and most efficient operation. The use of high-end materials and modern production methods allow for the unique shape of the blades – a factor contributing significantly to the excellent performance of the axial flow fan. A special nano-coating prevents dust deposits during operation to keep efficiency constant at maximum level at all time.”
