Prisma Autoclearing Offers The Most Effortless and Secure Yarn Clearing Experience
Juerg Schneider, Loepfe Sales and Service President
We interviewed Juerg Schneider, Juerg Schneider, Loepfe Sales and Service President for our Tekstil Teknoloji magazine, who spoke in our April special issue of Swiss ‘Textile Machinery Industry,” said, “Prisma is a dynamic system that is constantly evolving and adapting to the needs of the market. Thanks to regular software updates, users are constantly enjoying our new benefits.”
“2022 was a remarkable year, thanks to our strong partnerships”
How was the year 2022 for your company? Can you evaluate it in terms of your production volume, orders and export markets?
Loepfe had a remarkable year, thanks to our strong partnerships that allowed us to overcome numerous obstacles in the supply chain and deliver products consistently. We put extra effort into every step of the process, but it was our open communication and cooperative approach with customers that truly made all the difference in meeting market demand.
As you know, the lack of qualified personnel in the global textile industry. Do you also encounter this problem? If so, what solutions do you provide?
Yes, we know this challenge of our customers and users. With the last Prisma software update 2023-H1, Loepfe launched a solution for this issue. Prisma Autoclearing offers the most effortless and secure yarn clearing experience on the market – containing the features Autostart and Autocorrect.
Prisma Autostart saves around one hour of setting time for creating a new article. Likewise, the persons in charge can be sure that with Prisma’s built-in intelligence, the winding process is set up for optimum performance, providing high yarn quality with attractive machine efficiency. It also provides invaluable assistance to new personnel and prevents the production of insufficient yarn quality due to incorrect settings. In addition, new installations of winding machines are also simplified as the clearer takes over the initial job of adjustments.
If changes are necessary during the winding process, the operators can rely on the Autocorrect function. Autocorrect can be used to read just the clearing curve based on the quality data of running articles. This ensures a quick and correct reaction to changes at any time.
“Energy consumption will increased to minimum in the yarn clearing process”
Have you been affecting the global energy crisis also to Swiss textile companies. Is your company affected by the crisis? If so, what precautions do you take?
The company is affected by the energy crisis with higher costs for the operation and consequential price increases of sub suppliers. Product-wise, especially the YarnMaster Prisma system is designed to minimize energy consumption in the yarn clearing process. The Prisma system offers the unique matrix clearing principal with less cuts, yarn waste, splice cycles and energy consumption while ensuring the needed yarn quality.
As Loepfe, you adopt an environmentally friendly and sustainable product approach. Do you have any new product projects or investments that you will announce soon?
With Prisma, Loepfe has once again launched a future oriented technology combined with clever software. Prisma is a dynamic system that is constantly evolving and adapting to the needs of the market. Thanks to regular software updates, users constantly benefit from new advantages. All new functionalities are geared to the needs of spinning mills and contribute to a significant increase in yarn quality, a reduction in yarn waste and energy consumption as well as an increase in the efficiency of the winding machine and production. This all pays in to an environmentally friendly and sustainable product approach.
“Despite all obstacles, we will continue to provide the best quality solutions”
What are your expectations about the global textile sector in 2023? Do you think there will be growth or contraction in the sector? What are your predictions?
Based on our latest market intelligence, we anticipate a decrease in demand for our solutions compared to 2022. We regularly communicate with customers and partners to stay up-to-date with the trends and needs of the market. However, due to low production capacity utilization in spinning mills across most markets, there is limited need for new equipment at this time. Additionally, global macroeconomic challenges may delay investments further. Despite these obstacles, we remain committed to providing top-quality solutions that meet specific requirements at any time.
The ITMA 2023, which will held at June, you will attented. Which will be the products you exhibit?
We will showcase the market-leading YarnMaster Prisma along with its well-established counterpart YarnMaster ZENIT+. With this dual offering, Loepfe leads both on technology and performance as well as on the proven reliability for all applications in winding. The associated MillMaster TOP data system will also be available at its full range of functions and can be tried out for example trend analyses, planning boards for winding machine scheduling, clearer-assistant for cut forecasts and much more.
We will also present our YarnMaster® EOS, which is known for providing the spinner’s requirement of consistent yarn quality combined with maximum machine efficiency for rotor-spun yarn clearing.
We has much to offer even beyond the spinning sector and we will therefore also showcase the WeftMaster® CUT-iT, WeftMaster® FALCON-i . For example, WeftMaster FALCON-i is placed in various processes from weaving and knitting, to processing different technical textile applications. FALCON-i is known for zero-defect manufacturing regardless of color, conductive materials, monofilament, or multifilament yarns, thus this sensor is successfully used in a wide variety of fields.
