Ratera: Our Priority is to Produce High Efficiency Products for Our Customers

Since 1942, year which the company Ratera was founded, developing an important job in research and technological development in the Braiding industry and its complementary machines. Due to this effort, Ratera has become a leader company in this field exporting all over the world over 120 countries.

Worldwide shipping and logistics. The worldwide size of Ratera is the key of its success: Exporting the 90% of its production to more than 120 countries with a client portfolio of more than 7,000 customers. The average per year is more than 2,500 machines.

The range of our products covers over 320 different models, Ratera tries to cover all the needs of the braiding industry. Its versatility allows to adapt its models to each customer requirements in particular.

We made an interview with Ratera Area Sales Manager, Manel Lorente for our Special Spain Section. Lorente said; “At the ITMA 2019, as a machine manufacturer, we introduced the products that we developed using new technologies in the sector to our customers who will use them in different sectors such as medical applications and automotive.”

Stating that they had the oppor- tunity to meet their customers during ITMA, Lorente said, “We talked to them about our products and their needs. We have also established new connections.”

“Unfortunately for us Turkey is a very difficult market because of a lot of local producers but we are still trying to develop in this market.” Lorente says.

“As you know, we are competing in a difficult market we have to contantly develop new things, and opening new markets and applications in order to survive in this highly competitive market.

Ratera keeps developing and improving constantly its products combining the highest technology in desing using different computerized systems CAD (Computer Assisted Design) and CAM(Computer Assisted Manufacturing) with a deep knowledgement in this field and all the requirements in the braiding industry.

We are not just concentrating on one product or service. At Ratera we offer a solution. Thanks to the CAE system (Computer assisted Engineering), we make dimensions simulations, budgets, tariff structures and production plans. Our printing technology 3D, provides a great versatility and facilitates the control of production, meeting each customer’s requirements.

Thanks to the process of implementing Lean Manufacturing, we achieve an optimal product in a particular location and an appropriate amount. We focus on producing high-efficiency solutions for our customers by continuing our work. We follow the new needs and trends in the market and adapt to them. ”
