Rieter’s Acquisition of Petit Spare Parts is a Significant Milestone for Both Companies
Based in Aubenas, France, Petit Spare Parts (PSP) was acquired by Rieter in 2024. The acquisition marked a significant milestone for both companies. The company specializes in the trade of accessories for textile machines of all brands manufactured by ICBT, ARCT, RIETER-ICBT and VERDOL. PSP meets any request at national or international level.
The company has many years of experience in making-up, texturing and twisting as well as in-depth knowledge of the export business. PSP also manufactures and repairs spindles, spare parts for textile machines, as well as special parts. In addition, the company also offers an enhanced mechanical repair station for all Rieter spinning and winding machines at its facility in Aubenas. PSP manufactures special parts according to customers’ drawings, individually or in series. The company offers a wide range of thread-guides in aluminum oxide, zirconium dioxide or tungsten carbide, among others. The company’s portfolio includes around 300 main parts for various machines operating in the fields of texturing, fine count, carpet, technical and glass yarns.
Yarn Guides
Petit Spare Parts has more than 800 yarn guide references in stock, with the main goal of putting its experience at the service of the entire textile production process.
Originally mainly made of porcelain or hard chrome-plated steel, yarn guides are now also available in aluminum oxide and titanium oxide. In addition, there are various surface treatments, ranging from standard quality to diamond polishing to satin or matt finishes.
Petit Spare Parts manufactures special parts according to customers’ drawings, individually or in series. The company produces custom parts in aluminum oxide, zirconium dioxide or tungsten carbide, among others.
Spindles
Covering spindle that can be adapted to a 42 mm bored table or a rotating support. Particularly suitable for bobbins with 400 g to 700 g of thread with speeds from 24 000 to 27 000 rpm.
Multipurpose covering spindle that can be adapted to a 55 mm bored table or a rotating support. It supports a broad range of bobbin weights, from 400 g to 1 100 g of thread, with speeds from 13 000 to 24 000 rpm.
Individual braking device that enables the belt to be released and the pulley to be braked at the same time. The device is available in different diameters to match the pulley diameter. The company’s spindles can be adapted to any existing model of swielling support.
Transmission Elements
PSP offers various transmission elements like bearings, timing belts, gears and housings for various spinning machines. Belts of any width, any length, endless or ready to glue are made in the Petit Spare Parts repair station in Aubenas, France, and shipped within 48 hours.
Mechanical Repair Service
The PSP facility in Aubenas, France, is now offering an enhanced mechanical repair station for all Rieter spinning and winding machines. Also, Petit Spare Parts refurbishes and balances spindles and recoats and grinds rollers.
