As Tekstil Teknoloji Magazine’ team, we interviewed Necati Muğ, the partner and General Manager of Texco, which has the machines of the Then brand. Enjoy reading.
Could you describe the develop- ment process from the estab- lishment of your companies to this day?
In 2010, I established my company named FBN to import fabrics. We import about 5 million meters per month with various kinds of fabrics from 60 grams to 130 grams. We are also exporting. In January 2014, we established Er-Ez Group, our group company. We speacialize on fabrics for women’s clothing and produce companion products such as polyester, viscose and nylon.
For your exports, in what country are your most important markets?
20% of pur sales are in the domestic market, and we export 80% of our production. Mostly we are exporting to the UK market, and that is followed by France, Russia, Belarus, Germany and Spain. Er-Ez Group has an export volume of over ten million dollars annually.
Can you talk about Er-Ez Group’s machine park?
It includes about 180 weaving looms developed with latest tech- nology. Since we are exporting, we have to make quality products in very large quantities. So we decided to set up our own dyehouse and acquired a dyehouse in our group in 2017. We replaced the machine park quickly. By acquiring Fong’s and Then machines, we transformed a dyehouse with 5-tonne daily dyeing capacity into one with 15 tons per day.
How did you come to become acquainted with the Then machines? What are your reasons for choosing Then?
I have been in the textile market for 25 years. I have experienced the products of many brands over the years, but Then is technologically one of the best machines today. As a result of my experiences, I decided to do purchase about five Then machines. I can say that I’ve preferred Then because it can dye even very sensitive products very well and can respond to all kinds of problems. Its quality shows itself on the products. Recently, Then is the machine that can dye natural fiber, tencel, modal style quality materials in the most healthy way. I am also very satisfied with the support service. I will prefer Then for my future investments. Thanks to Then’s technology, we got a very good Return on Investment.
What is your production volume?
Our production volume varies from 280-300 tonnes per month in the dyehouse section. This is approximately 1 million meters per month. Er-Ez, however, has about 700 thousand meters of production per month.
What is the reason for the domestic market to choose you?
We can say that the reason for them to choose us is that our existing machine park responds to their quality expectations. Also, because of the constant production of export-oriented products, they prefer our company for better quality produc- tion. Aout 20% of our operation is contract-manufacturing.
Do you have tailor-made products?
We have our own R&D. The monofilament, nylon, tencel, viscose and 100% cupro products currently in our production line are our very sensitive, highly demanded, and high quality products. We are trying to respond to the trends in fashion. Recently tencel, modal, cupro, viscose companion fabrics are in demand in the market. We are making products by developing products accordingly. It is not possible to offer anything nmot demanded in the market. We are trying to respond to what the buyer requires. We only make designs and blends with our dedicated team.
What measures do you take to prevent errors in your productions?
We have a chemical automation system. Using this system allows us to avoid very minor mistakes. We do not risk staff failure. Staff may add 110 grams instead of 100 grams of dye and that 10 grams will put us in the wrong. If there is no error, the product is absolutely correct. Although the system is costly in the enterprise phase, the less errors are made in the production, the lower the cost will be. Chemical automation saves money.
How did you achieve your high exports figures and a world-wide recognition?
We are attend 4 5 exhibitions every year. After we introduced ourselves in exhibitions held in countries like Germany, the UK, the US, France, Russia, Poland, and Bulgaria, our exports got to a better level. We prefer to participate in exhibitions where our products are in demand.
Continuous participation is very important for exhibitions. If you do not participate regularly, you will be forgotten. Visitors and agencies are observing the companies that participate in the exhibitions. Negotiations are initiated if your product ranges correspond to their sales network and customers. It necomes more advantageous to work with agencies when conditions are mutually consistent. Good agencies take a company to the right places. We have established our sales network abroad this way.
