What kind of benefits will the products you will exhibit at the exhibition provide to its users?
As we are celebrating our 20 years anniversary of our e-save philosophy. That’s our sustainability program that we have established in 2004 in the market. We developed it patiently year by year and from generation to generation for the machines to have a more energy efficient solution. We are discussing with the customers how we as Oerlikon can support customers and their production in polyester or polypropylene and nylon to make it more sustainable. That is our contribution to the market and also to the future.
This year’s motto of ITM 2024 Exhibition is ‘Discover the Future’. What are your predictions for the future of the textile industry?
Oerlikon prioritizes future-focused solutions for the textile industry. Partnering with Italian company AG Automation, they deliver intra-logistics solutions for production facilities. Their focus extends to digitalization and automation across the polyester plant, offering a broader portfolio through collaborations. At ITM, Oerlikon unveils Atmos IO, a platform enabling data collection and predictive maintenance for optimized operations.
The textile machinery sector has been going through an economically turbulent period. With this in mind, what opportunities does your company seek from ITM 2024?
Recognizing the current economic challenges, Oerlikon prioritizes the important Turkish market for customer meetings and future project discussions. They view ITM as a springboard for market development and express optimism for the future.
How has the industry changed in the last 2 years – since ITM 2022 – and how has the company adapted?
Despite market challenges, Oerlikon’s chemical fiber division sees potential at ITM. They aim to secure new contracts for niche machines like the VarioFil and compact spinning solutions, while also targeting DTY machine sales. Overall, we anticipate a successful ITM 2024 exhibition.
