“We Signed Several Successful Projects at ITM 2024 Exhibition”
Spinners looking for profitable investments for sustainable mill operations had the opportunity to take a closer look at Uster FiberQ and RSO 3D at ITM 2024. Both of these systems offer attractive returns on investment. We interviewed David Maccabruni, CEO of Uster Techonologies, for ITM Daily News.
Can you tell us about the products you are highlighting at ITM?
This year at ITM 2024 we are showing the full package of our 360 Q offering. This brings more value to customers in terms of a combination of quality data and quality points along the textile supply chain and a complete solution for managing quality in the spinning mill. In addition, we are showing our RSO 3D solution, which is a combination of a ring spindle monitoring system with Quantum 4.0 clearer on the winder, as well as all the traditional products such as fiber cleaning, and fiber and yarn measurement, and of course our fabric inspection products.
What are the benefits of these products that you exhibited at the exhibition?
The most important benefit of our 360 Q solution is that customers can leverage what they already have and have full control over the quality in their spinning mills. For example, the FiberQ bale algorithm optimizes the placement of cotton bales at the beginning of the spinning process. Raw material management thus saves money throughout the entire production of yarns that eventually reach the clearer with a much better quality. Digitalization, automation and sustainability are important parameters in the future of textiles.
What kind of preparations and studies does your company make on these issues?
In terms of digitalization, I have previously described Uster’s 360 Q approach to sustainability, thus fulfilling its promise. Last year we launched the first Uster Technologies statistics including yarns made from recycled fibers. And we are systematically entering all stages of the circularity of mechanically recycled fiber production in all sectors with our approach.
How is the ITM 2024 Exhibition going for you?
Does the interest meet your expectations? We had a slow start on the first day, but the latter two days I see that there are many more visitors and customers from Turkey and neighboring countries. We also had some very good meetings and sales projects during the exhibition. As always, we are optimistic about the next two days and the overall experience at ITM. Also the organization by both the exhibition organizers and our own team was very good.
What kind of collaborations did you have during the exhibition?
We signed a few projects. We were following up on some projects that were finalized here. There was a specific project that we were not expecting, but it came up during the exhibition and we managed to finalize it.
