Global Carpet and Floor Covering Industry Comes Together at Domotex Turkey
DOMOTEX Turkey, one of the largest gatherings of the global carpet and floor covering industry in Turkey and the Middle East, was held this year at Antalya ANFAŞ International Fair and Congress Center. Nearly 100 companies exhibited in an area of 15 thousand m2 and professional visitors from 72 countries came to the fair.
The fair hosted visitors from 72 countries, including the United States of America, Belgium, Australia, Germany, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, India, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan. The USA, UAE, China, South Korea, India, Iran, Iran, Uzbekistan and Jordan were also exhibiting countries.

Attracting great interest from manufacturers, wholesalers, furniture stores and specialized retailers, Domotex Turkey brought together innovative solutions with carpet and floor coverings industry professionals.
Exhibitors had the opportunity to showcase machine made carpets and rugs; handcraft carpets and rugs; textile floor coverings (wall-to-wall); resilient floor coverings, laminate, luxury vinyl tiles; fibers, yarns and woven fabrics; flooring, cleaning and application technologies; artificial turf and sports surfaces as well as machinery and flooring applications and technologies at the fair. The fair, which was organized with the main theme of “Sustainability and Recycling”, attracted great interest from purchasing professionals from 72 countries, and many business meetings were held by purchasing delegations from Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, Malaysia, Australia, Canada, Brazil and Libya.

Visitors to Domotex Turkey, which was held in Antalya, the capital of tourism, due to the use of Gaziantep Middle East Fair Center (OFM), s a logistics base for earthquake aid; nano-carpets containing natural minerals and self-cleaning with ambient light, antibacterial resistant floor coverings and laminates, luxury vinyl tiles with antibacterial and acoustic properties, non-slip and non-pilling carpets, new generation water-resistant tiles produced with composite technology, composite floors consisting of layers that protect against scratches, liquid spills and sun damage, decorative carpets, and upper segment machine-made carpets with hand-woven appearance.

At the fair, which was organized with the theme of “Sustainability and Recycling ” and where manufacturers highlighted especially their sustainable products due to the impact of the climate crisis, visitors showed great interest in environmentally friendly works. In particular, industry professionals had the opportunity to discover eco-friendly carpets and rugs made from sustainable materials such as bamboo fiber, cotton, wool and jute, as well as resilient floor coverings made from recycled materials, antibacterial and new generation water-repellent luxury vinyl tiles.
Domotex Turkey, which makes a significant contribution to the growth journey of the carpet and floor coverings sector brands with the trade volume it creates, was attended by the important companies of the sector this year. Hundreds of bilateral talks were held at the fair, which created new opportunities for domestic producers who want to open up to international markets as well as international exhibitors who want to open up to the regional market. China, which took a long break due to the pandemic, exhibited with a pavilion at the fair, where participants from many countries, especially Iran and India, took part.
At Domotex Turkey 2023; ADO Floor, Afshar Zarineh, Almas Kavir, Fatihhtr Carpet and Kilim, Gheytaran Carpet, Gumusser Home, Merinos and Solomon Carpet, the important players of the sector brought their remarkable innovative products together with the sector professionals.
Royal Gold’s largest machine woven carpet, woven as a single piece, was the focal point of the visitors. Almas Kavir exhibited its hand-woven carpets with hand-finished edges that look like 100% handmade carpets, Zarif Mosavar exhibited recycled polyester wall-to-wall carpets and Halıname brand exhibited its wicker products. Among the most remarkable works of the fair was the creation created by Fatihtr Halı. The brand presented its upcycled carpets, obtained from an average of 1,500 to 2,000 pieces by combining pieces of Anatolian Rose carpets between 50 and 90 years old with a technique similar to Kirvan Senami.
