İbrahim Keklik, General Manager and CEO of Mektaş Makina, stated that the innovative machines they showcased at the Garment Tech Istanbul Exhibition offered solutions to the industry’s automation needs. Emphasizing the intense interest from both domestic and international visitors on the first day of the exhibition, Keklik also underlined their openness to new dealership and cooperation opportunities.
“We Are at the Exhibition with Innovative Products Exhibited for the First Time in Turkiye”
Participating in the Garment Tech Istanbul Exhibition, Mektaş Makina attracted attention with its machines offering advanced automation solutions to the sector. İbrahim Keklik, General Manager and CEO of Mektaş Makina noted that they presented a range of products, including a special model capable of cutting printed fabrics—being introduced for the first time in Turkiye—and a “cutter” model capable of cutting up to 20 layers of denim and reaching 9 centimeters in thickness.
“We Increase Efficiency and Reduce Labor Costs Through Automation”
Keklik emphasized that their machines are particularly focused on automation. He pointed out that their systems make it possible to perform what would typically require 4-5 workers with just one operator. “Due to the high cost of labor in Turkiye, turning to automation is a necessity. We are addressing this need.” he said.
“We Received Greater Interest Than Expected”
Keklik shared that their expectations prior to the exhibition had been low, but they were met with considerable interest from both domestic and international visitors starting from the very first day. He expressed satisfaction with the number of visitors from Europe, the Middle East, and Turkic Republics and stated that they were hopeful for the remaining days of the exhibition.
“An Important Ground for New Dealership and Collaboration Talks”
Keklik noted that their goal during the exhibition was not only to sell machines but also to establish new dealerships and connections. “We aim to form new collaborations during this period. This exhibition, held during a challenging time, took place with perfect timing and created opportunities for us.” he said.
“Opportunities Follow Crises”
Sharing his outlook for the second half of 2025, Keklik expressed his belief that the industry would revive in the coming months. “There may be a bit more contraction, but every crisis is followed by a period of renewed trade. We expect stabilization after August or September,” he concluded.
