Mavi Qualifies for Inclusion in the S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook 2026
Mavi, Türkiye’s leading jeans and ready-to-wear brand, has earned a place in The Sustainability Yearbook 2026 following its strong performance in the Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA), conducted by S&P Global, which evaluated 9,200 companies worldwide.
Within the scope of the CSA, 117 companies were assessed globally this year in the “Textiles, Apparel & Luxury Goods” sector, in which Mavi operates, and only the top-performing 13 companies qualified for inclusion in the Yearbook. Mavi ranked among the top 15% of companies in its sector with the highest scores and became the first and only ready-to-wear brand from Türkiye to be represented in this category.
“We Continue Our Sustainability Journey with Determination and Confidence”
Commenting on the achievement, Mavi CEO Cüneyt Yavuz stated: “Sustainability has been a cornerstone of our corporate strategy, particularly over the past six years. Through our All Blue strategy — built on sustainable growth through quality and centered around People, Environment, Community, and Denim — we have made significant progress in integrating sustainability into our corporate culture, vision, business practices, products, and growth objectives.
Since the very beginning of our journey, we have acted with a long-term value creation mindset, driven by the responsibility of being one of the world’s leading jeans and lifestyle brands. We are delighted that our sustainability efforts, supported by innovation, design, digitalization, and a customer-centric approach, have once again been crowned with global recognition through the S&P Yearbook. Being listed in S&P’s Sustainability Yearbook — where only 13 companies from the global apparel sector qualified this year — signifies that our sustainability performance has been independently validated on an international scale through a reliable methodology.
This positive development, highlighting our pioneering role in the sector, makes us proud and reinforces our determination — just as being ranked the world’s second-best company and the leader of the fashion industry in TIME’s Sustainable Growth research, and receiving a double A rating from CDP for three consecutive years, placing us among global climate leaders.”
CSA Measures Sustainability Performance Holistically
The CSA, which is highly regarded by sustainability-focused investors, evaluates companies based on industry-specific criteria across environmental, social, governance, and economic dimensions. Covering areas such as climate strategy, sustainable raw material usage, product responsibility, human rights, occupational health and safety, customer relations, and supply chain management, this comprehensive assessment provides a holistic evaluation of corporate sustainability performance.
To be included in the Sustainability Yearbook, a company must rank within the top 15% of its sector and achieve a score no more than 30% lower than the highest-scoring company in the same sector.
A Lasting Position Among Global Sustainability Leaders
Earlier this year, Mavi qualified for inclusion among CDP’s global climate leaders for the third consecutive time by receiving an A rating in both the Climate Change and Water Security programs of CDP — the world’s largest environmental reporting platform, which aims to transform how businesses operate in response to climate change.
In the “World’s Best Companies – Sustainable Growth” research conducted by TIME magazine and global data analytics platform Statista, Mavi rose six places compared to the previous year, ranking as the world’s second-best company in sustainable growth and maintaining its leadership in the global ready-to-wear sector.
Following the short-term emission reduction targets aligned with the Paris Climate Agreement, Mavi’s net zero emission reduction targets for 2025 were also approved by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). This development stands as a significant indicator that the brand’s sustainability efforts are science-based and rigorously implemented.
