The new machine has receivewd great interest from around 300 Efi customers and press members who came from all over, especially from Italy, Turkey, Portugal, Pakistan, Belgium and China, to see BOLT in operation. As Tekstil Teknoloji, we also had the chance to be present at the event to see the new generation single-pass digital printing machine in operation with its latest technology and superior performance and speed.

The promotional event, held on November 15 in Bergamo where the Efi Reggiani facilities are located, started with a conference attended by the Efi executives, engineers and international ex- perts. GUESTS SEE ALL MACHINES IN OPERATION AT EFI DEMO CENTER

Efi Reggiani’s Sales and Marketing Director Michele Riva, I.T.Strategies General Manager Mark Hanley and InfoTrends General Manager Ron Gilboa discussed the innovations and advantages BOLT has brought about for single-pass machines, problems in the printing industry, expectations and future trends during the conference where BOLT’s technical features are displayed in detail.

After the conference, the invitees visited Efi Reggiani’s Demo Center, where they were able to see Efi Reggiani’s latest technology digital textile printing machines in operation, such as Flexy, Next, FabriVu, Vogue and Power, as well as Terra Gold and Colors.

EFI Reggiani Colors printing machine is a breakthrough product for textile manufacturers offering up to 12 colors consecutively. It also allows users to use special inks, different chemical types of inks and inks which have a chemical structure that enables special methods, such as higher penetration printing.

PRINTING 90 METERS PER MINUTE

After visiting the Demo Center, it was now time for the invitees to see the BOLT launching. Following the drawstring aerobatic team’s show, the BOLT was unveiled, the new gener- ation single-pass textile printing machine was displayed for 300 invitees with a burst of applause.

The local and foreign Efi Reggiani customers, taking a close look at BOLT in operation, agreed that the machine has the technology of the next 5 years in the digital textile printing market.

The invitees believe that BOLT’s speed and print quality will outscore its counterparts in the market. The 8-printhead machine is likely to increase the production capacity of the production facilities significantly, in particular for the facilities producing sheets and bedspreads.

MENDERES TEKSTIL AND GAMATEKS AWARDED

After the BOLT presentation, Efi Reggiani prized their successful agents with a plaque at the dinner given in honor of the guests and customers using the Efi machines. Menderes Tekstil from Turkey, with an investment made to EFI machines, Gamateks were awarded as company bought most EFI machine in a quarter period. Efi Reggiani’s Turkey representative RTM Tekstil Sales Manager Sercan Kurban said that, state-of-the-art technology Bolt with features like speed, superior print quality and flexibility would change the single pass machine perspective in Turkey. Kurban, reminded that there is no another machine combining digital with analogue printing and printing 90 meters per minute currently on the market. Kurban added; “With BOLT, it will be possible to print 72 thousand meters per day. Therefore, the orders will be different. I believe that flat printing machines will soon be out of the market and machines like BOLT will become widespread.” Despite the rise in the exchange rate fluctuations, Turkey textile sector had a good year stated Sercan Kurban, “As a sector, we have shown that we will not be destroyed by any crisis.” commented.

ULTRA HIGH SPEED DIGITAL SINGLE-PASS PRINTING

BOLT’s print heads, which can only be used by Efi Reggiani, were developed jointly with Fuji. BOLT –the state-of-the-art ultra-high-speed digital single-pass printing machine– designed by the Efi Reggiani team in the last 15 months, has the potential to revolutionize the printing market by providing users with high uptime, reliability, superior performance, superior uniform printing, long printhead life and minimum maintenance requirements. Additional new features and enhancements on the printer include:

Enhanced maintenance features – The printer’s contactless wiping system prolongs printhead life and quality.

Plus, the printer comes with an assisted alignment system for its test calibration scan unit, and features extractable printing beams for easier maintenance.

Extended colour gamut and supe- rior image quality – Thanks to EFI expertise in colour management and flexible colour configurations, customers can easily reproduce a wider variety of work, including designs featuring plain colours, geometric patterns, fine lines, deep blacks and smooth gradients.
