Due to the rising energy costs in the recent period, the need for more digital, smart and highly automated products is increasing. BTSR, which focuses on these issues in its R&D studies, also ensures that not only its own parts are monitored on the machine, but also the whole facility is controlled with the software it has developed. “BTSR Grows in Hygiene and Diaper Industry”
Which are your major markets? In which markets do you foresee growth potential in the demand for your products?
As everyone knows 2022 was a very peculiar year. China has been practically closed for several months with the frequent lockdowns by impacting BTSR business as the main international companies operating in China. China is anyway still the first main market in many application sectors starting from seamless to socks to yarn preparation processes. Germany, Japan, US and Turkey are the other main geographical markets where BTSR develop his business thanks to our local Distributor Partner and a constant direct presence. In 2023 we still see high potential growth in China (tied to the normalization of business life) and Far East, as well as in Europe, US and Turkey which represents consolidated markets. Beside textile traditional textile, BTSR has been drastically growing in past year in hygiene / diaper sector and more generally in technical textile applications.
“We Achieved Good Results Despite Difficulties in the Turkish and European Markets”
How was the year 2022 for your company? Can you evaluate it in terms of your production volume, orders and export markets?
Year 2022 has been a quite complicate business period tied to several factors (market closures in China, shortage and cost increase of electronic components, energy cost increase, ..) with an impact on BTSR sales volumes and profitability. BTSR has reacted with a re-organization aimed to continue to provide the best quality products by minimizing our production costs. The most critical market has been China for the mentioned reasons, while we have been good results in Europe and Turkey despite the difficulties of these markets. We believe the year 2023 will see a business recovery especially in the second semester after the ITMA Exhibition where BTSR will display the latest product innovations.
“We are Committed to Maximizing Product Sustainability”
