“Turkey is One of Our Most Important Markets”
Pafa is an Italian family owned company, founded more than 60 years ago in Prato , the largest textile district in Europe – by Mario Fani. Based on European standard parameters, Pafa is a small company; but it is deeply specialized, and it has an international approach since it is exporting to almost 40 different countries so far. Pafa is well-known around the world as the specialist for fancy yarn machines, combing preparatory machines, chenille machines, raising machines and other special yarn machines.
“We Work for Energy-Saving and Innovative Machines.”
We interviewed Francesca Fani, CEO of PafaSystem, for the special issue of “Italy Textile Machinery Industry” of our Tekstil Teknoloji magazine. Fani explained the secrets of their success in the industry for many years: “Our key factors are: great experience, technology, reliability, service, and the capability to answer quickly to new market demands. We listen to our customers, we advise them on the choice of the machinery, and we strive for their satisfaction; We offer a customized and tailored production, we commit to producing innovative machines able to guarantee energy savings, we provide precise and efficient assistance and spare parts service, and we provide our customers with a free laboratory for yarn tests and samples.”
Expressing that they have recently received requests from their customers for sustainable and energy-saving products, Fani said, “Pafa is working day by day on research and technology, improving machine performances, and designing new equipment to create new kinds of fancy yarns. Recently, our machines got the “Green Label Certification” which grants energy savings and efficiency. This goal meets the increasing request of our top level customers who are day by day more focused on sustainability and supply chain traceability.”

Stating that the fancy yarn industry has had a very good trend over the last 3 years, Francesca Fani continued her words as follows: “It is a cluster, but it is going to grow since the luxury fashion industry is constantly looking for new effects to launch while the ready-to-wear industry has adopted them, replacing the classic (and boring) yarn!”
Saying that they will focus on production efficiency and organization in 2023, “On the 2023, our goals are organization and production efficiency: we are investing in 4.0 warehouse machinery, digital procedures for our production department, and a new digital service for our customers. It will be a very busy year, but really exciting: ITMA Milano will be held in June 2023, and we can’t wait for it.” Fani said.
