We are a company that blends acrylic and wool blends, polyamide, nylon type yarns. We increased our capacity day by day. Today, we produce around a thousand tons of acrylic and wool yarns per month. We made a carpet investment six years ago. We manufacture acrylic, polypropylene, polyester-based jute and cotton-based woven carpets. Which countries do you export to?
We can say that there is no country where we do not sell products in Europe, which is our main market. After that; We export to the Middle East, America, Russia.
What do you pay attention to when machine invest?
We pay particular attention to current trends. We invest in different styles of machinery almost every year. We invest according to progress, trends, the tendencies and the thickness of the yarns, its raising, colors and dyeing. Or, we also make investments in which smaller productions can be made according to the demands of our customers per minimum color. Recently, we have been producing hand-painted boutique style up to 30-40 kilos.
What kind of activities do you operate in the carpet sector?
We are moving towards branding in the domestic market. We have a brand called Anatolian Carpet. Currently, we export 85 percent of the carpet field. We mainly work for the European and American market. We are a growing company that maintains its dynamics and keeps up with the industry.
What are the features of Anatolian Weavers carpets?
Anatolian Weavers appeals to every taste with its classic or modern style productions. The non-slip sole feature, which is frequently used in carpets, reinforces the relationship of the carpet with the floor by creating a special texture on the back surface of the carpet. Thanks to its liquid repellency feature, carpets stainless easily. Even if there is a trace after stain intervention, it does not contain stains by cleaning itself over time by using sunlight or ambient lighting. Even if there is no stain on the carpet, it cleans itself continuously and remains as it was for the first day. It does not contain any invisible dirt such as cigarettes, smoke, soot, foot dirt. Thereby, it helps its users to get rid of bacteria, mites and fungi. A natural conductivity feature on the carpet also reduces the stress by taking static electricity from the body.
What are the reasons why you prefer alpaca hair that you use in Alpaca collection?
The most important feature of the Alpaca hair is its silky soft texture. Because of its fibers contain minimum levels of lanolin, it is not a problem to use it by people who are allergic to wool. Other features of Alpaca that are valuable include brightness, durability, very good heat preservation, (7 times more heat preservation than sheep wool), and a very good absorption of dye. Alpaca hair, which is water repellent, is thermal even when wet and resistant to solar radiation.
What are your expectations from this year as Canan Tekstil?
Although there are exhibitions that are canceled due to the world epidemic, we take our precautions. We think positively about our progress this year. In general terms, we think that we will be less affected by the events that occur because our performance and self-confidence, R&D and infrastructure are strong. Finally, as country, we hope to overcome this epidemic process with the least damage, and in line with the directives of our state, we, as the Canan Tekstil family, fulfill our responsibility.
