“Global textile market in 2024 will focus in consumption behavior, with a focus on fashion, sustainability, and e-commerce”
What are your expectations for the global market in 2024, especially in this sector? Do you think there will be growth or contraction in the sector? What are your predictions?
As we move into 2023, the global textile market is closely monitoring the post-lockdown consumption behavior. With the easing of restrictions and a return to relative normalcy, consumer behavior is gradually shifting.
During the lockdowns, the textile industry experienced fluctuations in demand, with consumers prioritizing comfort and practicality in their clothing choices. As restrictions ease and people venture out more, there is a growing interest in fashion, personal expression, and a desire for new experiences.
The rise of sustainability continues to influence consumption behavior, with consumers seeking ethically produced and eco-friendly textiles. This trend has driven businesses to emphasize sustainable practices in their manufacturing and supply chains.
E-commerce has gained momentum during the lockdowns, and this trend is expected to persist as the “new normal”. Consumers’ growing comfort with online shopping has spurred textile companies to invest in robust online platforms and digital marketing strategies.
While the textile market faces challenges, such as raw material shortages and supply chain disruptions, the changing consumption behavior provides opportunities for innovative and adaptive businesses to thrive in the new normal.
In our predictions, the global textile market in 2024 anticipates a shift in consumption behavior, with a focus on fashion, sustainability, and e-commerce. By understanding and responding to these evolving preferences, companies can position themselves for growth and success in the post-lockdown era.
