Eco-Friendly Investment from Harput and its Indian Partner

Harput Holding and its Indian partner will realize the POY production project, which is the raw material of yarn from used pet bottles with an investment of $ 100 million. In the project where the two groups will be fifty-fifty partner, 2 thousand tons per month POY, will be produced in the new facility which established in Mustafakemalpaşa.

Harput Holding Chairman Muhammet Etkeser said that they have been in negotiates with the Indian group since last year.

Etkeser said that the Indian group is one of the two groups in the world has the technology of producing textured yarn from POY which is obtained from the used pet bottles. Etkeser said that, “We will bring know how and produce POY at the plant in Mustafakemalpaşa. Yarn will be produced from recycling and exported to Europe and domestic market. This is a total of 100 million dollars project. Also being worked for collecting plas- tic bottles from Turkey. In this sense, it will be an eco friendly investment.”
