Thousands of People Have A Job Thanks to Textile Wastes
Textile wastes are separated into colors after they come to the factory, after they are separated into millimetric parts in machines, they become yarn in various thicknesses. Especially the garments and blankets sector prefer yarns produced by recycling companies.
Uşak make its name with the investments it has made in recent years about the recycling of textile waste. Uşak, wellnown in the wool and carpet industry, which stands out with its investments in the blanket and ceramics industry, has provided job opportunities to approximately 12 thousand people in 100 facilities thanks to its contribution to the recycling of textile wastes.
Uşak Chamber Of Commerce And Industry (UCCI) Chairman of the Board Selim Kandemir said that Turkey as well as Bangladesh, India and obtained from countries such as China stated that the annual approximately 500 thousand tons of textile waste turn into the yarn at plants in Uşak.
TEXTILE WASTE CONTRIBUTES TO THE ECONOMY
Kandemir explained that most of the yarn produced by recycling is exported, and that recycling provides a serious contribution to the economy as well as the protection of natural resources. Kandemir, ” Uşak produces cotton without field thanks to these facilities. We save waste to the economy at nearly 100 facilities in the city. About 500 thousand tons of textile waste is turn into yarn every year in our city. Our sector earns the country an economic value of 1 billion 200 million pounds in a year. We have a 80 percent share in Turkey in general in recycling of textile waste.” said.
