Gülsan Holding Made Investment of 95 Million Euros to Tekirdağ

Turkey’s largest fabric manufacturer of medical and hygienic Gülsan Holding has made a huge investment in facility in Corlu for Mav Elyaf factory which is within it.

Based in Gaziantep Gülsan Holding‘s first factory outside of Antep was opened in Tekirdağ. MAV Elyaf Factory will produce 36 thousand tons of nonwoven fabric per year.

MAV Elyaf Factory aims to reach 56 countries and export 35 million dollars per year. Company is rapidly moving towards becoming a major center for nonwoven fabric production in Turkey, Europe, Africa, Middle East and  Central Asia.

Gülsan Holding Chairman of the Board Mustafa Topçuoğlu stated that they continue their nonwoven investments that they started in Gaziantep in 2004 without slowing down, and said at the opening of the factory:

“We are proud to contribute to our country’s economy by commissioning our MAV Elyaf Nonwoven Spunbond production facility in April 2020 with an investment of 95 million Euros in Çorlu Ergene 1, Organized Industrial Zone. We take place of the main supplier of many of the diaper manufacturers in Turkey and abroad. Our products are used in diapers, sanitary pads, underpad and medical sectors. The last Covid-19 pandemic we experienced once again showed the strategic importance of producing such fabrics in our country. With our spunbond productions, we met the main raw materials of mask, overalls and apron manufacturers in the medical sector on time. We have gained prestige to our country with our power in the field of technical textiles by meeting the needs of our country and contributing to exports.”

Topçuoğlu continued his words as follows: “With this investment, we strengthened our position in non woven fabric export as a country. Operating with 3 thousand employees in different sectors, our group proudly represents our country by entering the top 10 among global spunbond manufacturers. We are earning foreign currency to our country with our annual spunbond export of 100 million dollars. Gülsan Holding’s two companies  take place in 108 and 388 in the list of Turkey’s first thousand exporter companies with its spunbond nonwoven fabrics, films for hygiene and sack yarn export. We export a total of 220 million dollars to 56 different countries with our two companies.”
