‘‘A concrete example of university-industry cooperation’’
In his speech, Hüseyin Öztürk, Chairman of the Board of Directors of MHGF, expressed that not only a fashion show was staged, but also that they took young people to the memories of the civilizations that lived. Stating that the fashion show, which was worked hard in this context, excited them very much, Öztürk continued as follows, ‘‘A serious work has been realized in the process of bringing yesterday’s experiences together with today’s youth and carrying them to tomorrow. At the same time, this project was an important concrete example of university-industry cooperation.’’
‘‘Mardin continues to develop rapidly and ambitiously’’
MTSD President Ahmet Azun stated the following regarding the organization; ‘‘Mardin is a city with an ancient history that has hosted many civilizations, a center of many cultures living in peace and tranquility, and a city that is gradually shining. On the other hand, with the breakthroughs it has made in recent years, it is rapidly progressing towards becoming an important production center in the fields of textile and ready-to-wear clothing. As MTSD, we are honored to support and be a stakeholder in the ‘Mardin, Woven with Stone, Kneaded with Love’ collection.’’Nihal Bolkol, Lecturer and Head of Fashion Design Department at IAU Anadolu Bil Vocational School, said, ‘‘Within the scope of the project, our students are given multidimensional and interdisciplinary education.
