Home Textile Manufacturers from Denizli Participated in Hometextile & Design Fair
One of the most important fairs of the region in the home textile sector, Hometextile & Design was held in Moscow, Russia, on September 3 – 5, 2024. Denizli Companies, with 17 stands, participated in the fair, and the Denizli Exporters’ Association took part with an info stand. At the fair, Denizli’s home textile sector was represented.
Regarding the fair, DENIB President Hüseyin Memişoğlu provided an assessment, noting that in 2023, Denizli exported goods worth 45 million dollars to Russia. Memişoğlu said the following words: “Russia ranks 21st in Denizli’s country-based exports and is among our important foreign trade partners. Last year, we increased our exports to Russia by 23%, reaching 45 million dollars. The textile and apparel sector accounted for approximately 20% of this total.
Russia has a population of approximately 150 million. When considering neighboring countries and Turkic Republics, it represents both a vast geography and a region with high potential. We participated in this fair for the first time in 2019. After that, we went through a pandemic period, but this year we evaluated the opportunity to participate again. As is known, our country is a major player in the home textile sector. 75% of towel exports, 65% of bathrobe exports, and 55% of bed linen exports from Turkey come from Denizli. These figures clearly demonstrate the undeniable strength of our province in the home textile sector.
Hometextile & Design stands out as a significant event offering international product diversity in the home textile sector. Denizli’s home textile products, produced with the latest technology. The products were showcased to the fair visitors. We believe that our exporters’ high-quality, sustainable, and innovative products once again made an impact on the global stage.
At the same time, 17 member firms from Denizli also participated in the fair as exhibitors. Exporters who did not have their own stands but visited the fair had the opportunity to use the DENIB stand for meeting arrangements.”
