ITM 2024 Exihibition was a Ray of Hope for Everyone

Kahraman Güveri, General Manager of Mayer Mümessillik, said: ‘The sector has been in recession for quite some time. Everyone is in a search. At ITM 2024, we also had the opportunity to survey the market. We learnt who developed which machine and what they invested in.’

Founded in 1993 in Ataköy, Mayer Mümessillik has been successfully representing Mayer & Cie., a German company and the leader in the field of circular knitting, for 28 years. Since 2010, the company has been representing the leading German company Stoll in flat knitting, which is also its own field. Mayer Mümessillik had a strong participation in ITM 2024 Exhibition. Kahraman Güveri, General Manager of Mayer Mümessillik, stated that the exhibition is a ray of hope for the sector. Stating that the ITM Exhibition has made very important contributions to them, Güveri said, “The sector has been in recession for quite some time. Everyone is in a search. At the ITM 2024 Exhibition, we also had the opportunity to survey the market. We learnt who developed which machine and what they invested in.”

Stating that ‘Discover the Future’, the motto of ITM 2024 Exhibition, is the right starting point, Güveri commented, “Everyone is really looking for the future here.’  Güveri said, “Our professors at the university. Even if textile ends in the world, it will not end in Turkey. Textile had such a future for us. But now we see people a little pessimistic. There are economic reasons for this, there are political reasons. Because we have problems in employment.”

Emphasising that Istanbul is the right location for the Far East, Middle East and Europe, Güveri said, “On the first day of ITM 2024, visitors came from 74 countries. This shows that ITM is an exhibition where the sector meets at a common point and makes positive contributions to the sector.”
