As a company, we take our prestige from the state-of-the-art technological production facilities that have completed their integration. Our production procedures are carried out in 267 thousand square meters of open and 105 thousand square meters of closed area, and with approximately one thousand 300 personnel.
We aimed to be more sustainable, environmentally sound, and globally competitive company generally in Turkey by establishing the first design center in Adana in 2017. According to a research performed in 2019, Kıvanç Tekstil is ranked as the 635th ‘Largest Industrial Organization’ of Turkey and it continues to grow consistently.
Kıvanç Tekstil, with 214 Picanol looms, makes the woven raw fabrics ready for garment production with different touches from 100 gr/square meter to 500 gr/square meter in the state-of-the-art dyeing-finishing facility in its weaving facilities, which are sufficient for most of the dyeing-finishing capacity. Along with Kıvanç Tekstil’s variety of yarn production from 18Ne to 80Ne consisting of numerous fiber blends, its fabric production capacity reached 18 million meters per year, thanks to the company’s environmentally friendly technological investments in recent years.

We are trying to improve ourselves day by day through our design and our R&D centers. We export all of our production to 70 countries including the USA, England, Spain, France, and Russia.

While investing in machinery and technology, we take into account the basic components of industry 4.0 that will increase our competitiveness and respond to future fashion trends and customer expectations.
We pay attention to choose smart systems that combine information technology, which provides low cost, less space and less energy, higher production capacity, environmentally friendly, occupational safety, and industrial activities.
Could you please tell us about the latest innovations in the weaving industry? Can we listen to your R&D studies and the latest innovations you have accomplished in this field?
As Kıvanç Tekstil, we realized the sustainable textile production, which is on the agenda of the world today, together with my late father Hacı Mustafa Kıvanç 60 years ago. We are one of the first companies that provide the gathering of textiles with an environmentally friendly and sustainable understanding by producing yarn and fabric from cotton waste.
We take the fiber produced from waste. We use at least 25 percent recycled raw materials in our products. Brands want fabric made using recycled raw materials. By 2030, 32 companies throughout the world agreed that either 100 percent of their products should be produced with recycled or organic materials. These companies, which constitute the world brands, signed a protocol and we have to comply with this protocol. Now, if brands and countries want these products especially like this, we must produce our products utilizing recycled raw materials. We export to 70 countries including the USA, UK, Germany, France, Spain, Iran, and Russia. The raw material of 25 percent of the fabrics that we exported was obtained from waste.
How do you interpret the first half of this year on behalf of Kıvanç Tekstil? What are your expectations for the second half of the year?
Textile is one of the sectors that is most affected by the troublesome coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic outbreak, which devastated the whole world. In our country and in the world, there were big decreases in the export volumes of the companies that stopped production or switched to a short-time working model in March and April. As Kıvanç Tekstil, we switched to a short-time working model during these periods. We carried out our productions in our current plans and there was a partial decrease in our production capacity.
In the new normalization period, the main starting point of our industry is reliable cooperation and safe production. Kıvanç Tekstil is the choice of many international companies because of its quality, production structure, and existing customer portfolio.
After the pandemic outbreak, close and local procurement came to the fore. In this sense, we are in an advantageous position, especially due to our proximity to basic markets such as the EU and our ability to meet all kinds of demands in the fastest way possible.
Could you please provide information about your goals for 2021, future projects, and investments?
In 2021, we aim to strengthen our current production in line with the studies of our design and R&D centers, both of which are embodied in our company.
