Marzoli to Showcase FTM320 Machine with Latest Roving Frame Technology at ITM 2024
Intwerview: Özge Çağıl Sütcü
Marzoli has been conducting tests and pioneering the development of exclusive and innovative fiber regeneration processes since 2012, that meet consumers’ growing demand for sustainability. Marzoli is preparing to introduce the FTM320 roving frame with the latest roving technology at ITM 2024 in June.
Regarding sustainable technologies, Marzoli has been conducting tests and pioneering the development of exclusive and innovative fiber regeneration processes since 2012, to give life to new materials and products that meet consumers’ growing demand for sustainability. Marzoli know-how is based on the mechanical processing of both post-industrial and post-consumer fabric waste, to create new fibres with characteristics that allow processing with traditional spinning technology.
As Tekstil Teknoloji magazine, we interviewed with Cristian Locatelli, General Manager of Marzoli for our February special issue of ‘Italian Textile Machinery Industry’. Locatelli evaluated the Turkish market and talked about the FTM320 Roving machine they will exhibit at ITM Exhibition.
The highlights of the interview are as follows:
“ITM Exhibition is an Ideal Platform to Interact with Industry Professionals”
ITM presents an ideal platform for engaging with industry professionals, offering a valuable opportunity to showcase the excellence of Marzoli solutions tailored for the future textile industry.
These innovations span the spinning section, the digitization of production processes, the research and implementation of dedicated nonwoven lines, and the establishment of circular processes for textile regeneration, resulting in the creation of new products with substantial added value.
At ITM, customers will have the chance to witness the latest roving technology of FTM320 firsthand and gain insights into its advantages, including cost savings of up to 10% in operating expenses and an energy saving of up to 6.5%.
FTM320 Roving Frame Allows an Energy Saving on Suction Up to 75%
As Marzoli, Over the past 10 years has focused its efforts and resources on developing an exclusive concept that covers 4 separate but completely interconnected areas: Spinning Technology, Digital Textile, Nonwoven solutions and Circular Solutions. Wih this approach we has enabled us to drive innovation across these diverse sectors, yielding notable advancements, including: FTM320 Roving Frame, MDS2 ring frame with Active Flute, C702NW card, CMX and Digital solutions. FTM320 Roving Frame is the longest machine and the latest in greatness. The innovative our roving frame with a central headstock and independent double side modules works simultaneously, to allow spinners to increase efficiency by up to 5%.
MDS2 ring frame with Active Flute, the innovative system for partial suction, when and where required, allowing an energy saving on suction up to 75%.
C702NW Card Increases Standard Web Weight Up to 60 g/m2
C702NW card and the web condenser, a special unit able to increase the standard web weight up to 60 g/m2, satisfying an emerging trend in nonwoven production. CMX is the state-of-the-art combing technology which, with 10 combing heads, guarantees a level of productivity 25% higher than the previous model, along with energy savings equal to 20% kWh/kg. A whole and complete range of Digital solutions for the optimization of the spinning section, that comprise the remote maintenance, the application of Artificial Intelligence and applications for the accurate analysis of raw material.
Turkey is a Key Market for Machinery Suppliers
Turkey has a robust and well-established textile industry. It is one of the leading textile and apparel producers globally, making it a key market for machinery suppliers. The country’s textile sector covers a wide range of products, from yarn and fabric to clothing and home textiles.
Being a manufacturing hub for textiles, the demand for modern and efficient textile machinery is high. This is why Marzoli can find opportunities to provide advanced equipment that enhances productivity and quality in Turkey’s textile production.
We have established our branch Marzoli Turkey in 2022 to enhance our customer service capabilities and ensure timely assistance to our clients.
The Digital Solutions and AI that Marzoli Proposes, Further Improve Energy Efficiency
Consumers are becoming more and more conscious about sustainability, especially the new generations. Millennials are influencing every day the choices of textile industry. This awareness is growing continuously and rapidly, especially over the last 15 months. This, therefore, leads yarn producers and, consequently, textile machinery manufacturers, to develop new solutions that best match these needs.
Of course, also energy consumption and the related cost is a mandatory topic, especially in this historical period. The R&D activities of the last 30 years have allowed Marzoli to halve the energy consumption (-47%) with the adoption of innovative power-saving technologies.
The digital solutions and AI that Marzoli proposes, further improve energy efficiency, by optimizing in a continuous and proactive way the process parameters.
Marzoli is directing its efforts and advancements toward sustainable and digital technologies, which represent key innovation focal points within the textile sector. Also the digital technologies represent a crucial topic for Marzoli. The long-term vision and innovative digital journey that Marzoli and Camozzi Group designed several years ago, have made it possible to develop the first A.I. enabled platform dedicated to the textile industry. This, combined with solutions for remote maintenance, advanced software for the integration of management tools and apps for the analysis of cotton waste, allow spinners to benefit from a significant increase in production (up to 5.5%) and efficiency (up to 8%), while at the same time reducing maintenance and failure costs by up to 30%.
Anticipating precise shifts in the export markets for global textile machinery manufacturers poses challenges; however, several potential factors are poised to influence the industry, including technological strides in textile machinery, shifting consumer inclinations towards sustainable and eco-friendly products.
alterations in trade policies and regulations, economic and political volatility in specific nations. Marzoli, as a prominent textile machinery manufacturer, diligently observes these dynamics, adeptly adjusting and innovating processes to ensure sustained competitiveness in the global market.
