My Fashion Fabrics Prints with Kornit Presto S MAX
Founded in 2019 Turkey-based, My Fashion Fabrics, which produces custom- decorated fabrics to the garment industry, relied the Kornit Presto S MAX system for sustainable, single-step, digital direct-to-fabric decoration on demand in late 2022. The printing machine consists of drying, post-press and delivery stages.
My Fashion Fabrics, which prints on both cotton and cotton-synthetic blend materials, including polyviscose, viscose, and modal materials, looked to Kornit because their options for imprinting cotton were lacking; other digital systems operated at an exceptionally high cost, and most were reactive printers that required post-treatments – washing, stentering, and sanforizing before shipment to the customer.
Making a statement about this, Yasin Güler, My Fashion Fabrics Responsible: “We chose Kornit because digital alternatives do not fill the gap in the market. Other printing machines in the market consume water and costs increase when it comes to digital cotton printing. Since we started using Kornit Presto S MAX, we have learned that white printing can be done on colored fabrics, and we have not encountered any problems in terms of consistency and quality.”
“What we do with Kornit is preparations before printing, drying, and shipping to the customer,” said Yasin Güler at My Fashion Fabrics, noting there was “zero water usage, zero post-printing processes – direct delivery after printing.”Güler has found Presto MAX technology makes it possible for them to decorate colored fabrics with white digital impressions. “We have no problems with deadlines,” he said. “The customer sends us a photo or PDF file, and before the customer arrives we print the sample and welcome them with the sample at the door.”
The company is currently experimenting with nylon and polyamide fiber, which Güler believes will create new opportunities for My Fashion Fabrics. “We used to be in the synthetic fiber printing business, but now we print on everything – knitted, raschel, or woven. Work on nylon and polyamide fabric continues I believe that this work will create new opportunities for My Fashion Fabrics” he said.
“SGS and ITS reports prove the fastness level is above 4, and we don’t have any problems with fastness or quality. Kornit’s tech support visits as quickly as possible when we call, they teach us the technical details, and they’ve proven they have the capacity to solve any issues via online connection, as well.”
My Fashion Fabric has found customers consistently receptive to their finished product, with Güler citing one customer in particular who received a 300-meter preliminary sample and proceeded to order another 15,000 meters on the basis of its quality. “Kornit added to our value,” he said. “We are very satisfied.”
