We spoke with Klaus Böhnlein, Head of Sales Textile Technology at Rauschert, to discuss Rauschert’s role in the textile sector, the technological solutions they offer, and their expectations for the future.
Rauschert has been active in textile technology for many years. What are the foundations of your company’s success? How would you define Rauschert’s role in the textile industry?
With Rauschert, textile manufacturers benefit from technically advanced components specifically designed for use in demanding production environments. Our ceramic components ensure the highest fiber quality and enable maximum productivity and efficiency in spinning mills or yarn production—features that our customers worldwide appreciate.
With a global presence, a strong focus on innovation, and consistently high quality across our entire product range, we are recognized as a prime supplier for textile manufacturers seeking customized and sustainable solutions. We offer a comprehensive range of tailor-made ceramic components for various textile industry applications, producing customized prototypes and series production for our customers.

TwistStopper
“Twist stopper not only stands out due to its outstanding ceramic quality but also through its stable and uniform mounting as well as effective protection against damage”
The Twist Stopper product from Rauschert is widely used in the textile industry. How does this product make a difference in yarn production and processing stages? What are the main advantages of a yarn guide?
By using our high-quality ceramic components at all positions in the texturing unit, our ceramic texturing discs also unfold their full potential. Particularly in the areas between delivery roller 1 and 2, where extreme stresses such as high yarn tension, solution-dyed and recycled yarns occur, high-quality ceramic components are essential. That is why we offer additional key components such as input yarn guides and twist stoppers. Our specially developed twist stopper not only stands out due to its outstanding ceramic quality but also through its stable and uniform mounting as well as effective protection against damage. Additionally, we produce suitable yarn guiding elements made of titanium dioxide.
“With Rapaltex® friction discs, textile manufacturers can maintain high yarn quality for many years without needing to replace the discs”

Spindle Components
Could you provide more information about Rauschert’s Rapaltex® ceramic discs? What advantages do these discs offer in textile machines? Specifically, how do they contribute to DTY production?
The Rapaltex® product line includes friction discs and other components for DTY (Drawn Textured Yarn) production. These products are in-house developments by Rauschert. With Rapaltex® friction discs, textile manufacturers can maintain high yarn quality for many years without needing to replace the discs. These discs extend maintenance intervals and prevent the formation of “snow”. Additionally, production speed can be significantly increased. Thanks to the superior thermal conductivity of our aluminum oxide ceramic compared to conventional PU (polyurethane) discs, friction heat is efficiently dissipated, ensuring that the yarn is not overstressed even at high speeds. Moreover, Rauschert offers high-precision guiding and cutting discs for texturing units as well as 6-mm discs for nylon production.
Can you elaborate on the collaboration between Inopor® and Rauschert Technical Ceramics? How does this partnership enhance the solutions that both companies offer in textile technology?
As a pioneer in innovative industrial solutions, Rauschert has been independently active in the fields of technical ceramics and plastics for over 120 years. With broad industry expertise and continuous development of products, processes, and materials, Rauschert has established itself in other forward-looking markets. This includes filtration technology, which is marketed under the Inopor® brand and represents another key competency of the company.
“Inopor® membrane technology makes a big difference in the textile industry where water and energy demand is high”
The ceramic membranes from Inopor® play an important role in the textile industry, particularly in water treatment and recovery. How do these environmentally friendly solutions integrate with other Rauschert technologies?
The textile industry has a high demand for water and energy. With Inopor® membrane technology, based on the developments and experience of the Rauschert Group, technologically necessary and meaningful process water flows are recycled. This not only reduces water consumption but also minimizes the need for various chemicals and energy usage especially in wet process. Additionally, CO2 emission and wastewater volume are reduced. The combination of these effects creates an economic advantage for this investment.
The future of the textile industry is shaped by high-speed production and environmental awareness. How do you aim to contribute to this future with the joint solutions of Rauschert and Inopor®? How do you adapt to new technologies, and how do you respond to the evolving needs of your customers?
The partnership between Rauschert – technical ceramics and Inopor® will be further expanded to develop sustainable water treatment and recovery systems for the textile industry and optimize processes. Our goal is to increase resource recycling efficiency through innovative ceramic membrane technologies and to promote environmentally friendly production processes. In addition to water savings, the focus is also on reducing chemical consumption and energy savings. The reduction of processwater streams is a welcome side effect.
At our production site in Veilsdorf, Germany, we operate the Inopor® application laboratory. Here, we test our membranes for various applications and conduct laboratory and principle tests for our customers. Our expert Inopor® team is available to support anyone facing a filtration projekt- from the project idea to the system concept.
What is the significance of the Turkish market for your company? Do you have investments or new product projects for this market?
The highly developed Turkish textile industry faces the challenge of resource conservation and implementing sustainable production—we are happy to support the goal of establishing a “Green Textile Industry”.
What are your expectations and goals for the textile machinery sector in 2025? Could you talk about your new product developments and investment projects?
As in other regions with a strong textile industry concentration, we continue to invest in the Turkish market. With the first step of our cooperation with Ekoteks Laboratuvar ve Gözetim Hizmetleri A.Ş. since late 2023/early 2024, we have the opportunity to offer laboratory and principle tests on-site in Turkiye. The cooperation for pilot projects with and at interested customers is in preparation. By providing reference project reports, we can demonstrate the potential and savings of this technology with CAPEX and OPEX calculations. This positions us well to respond to current market inquiries and demands, and we look forward to launching concrete projects.
