Shieldex and the Power of Silver

Silver has antibacterial, fungicidal, and odor-inhibiting properties. In addition, it is gentle to the skin, temperature-regulating, conductive, antistatic and perfect for shielding purposes. Shieldex only use silver with a purity of at least 99.9% for its products. In combination with polyamide 6 and 6.6 (Nyon), Shieldex textiles are tearproof and elastic at the same time. Shieldex product that are metallized with silver are certified according to Standard 100 by OEKO-TEX% and can be worn on the skin.

Shieldex silver- plated yarns can be incorporated into many different product: sportswear, socks, bed linen, towels and many more. Thanks to the antimicrobial effect of silver, the knitted Shieldex fabrics are particularly well-suited for medical applications, such as wound dressings, veterinary medicine, for skin conditions as well as prosthetics and sensor technology.

The worldwide unique 3D metallization process, in which each individual filament is fully metallized, distinguishes Shieldex products and enables the ideal use of the properties of the various metal s in textile form.

Shieldex product are more slowly, sustainably, homogeneously and deeply refined with the various metals compared to conventional production processes that aim for pure production mass. This type of production result in a significantly higher longevity of the textile and thus also of the end product.
