Spoolex will Showcase at INDEX 2023, Its Web Converting Machineries

Present since 1955 all around the world with its high technical equipment, Spoolex will showcase all the latest developments to its customers at INDEX 2023.

Spoolex through its Calemard® brand, is recognised in nonwovens market as a leader in technical slitter-rewinders and Jumbo spooling lines.

Recently, the French company delivered and commissioned its famous Orion high technical slitter-rewinder at the North Carolina State University and three Jumbo spooling lines of the Pegase type in Asia, the Americas, and Europe. But since 2020 and the Covid period, Spoolex has not only improved its range of equipment but has also expanded it by developing around its core expertise in tension control and precise guiding system, many innovative solutions such as: slitter-rewinder with pre-cutting system for dry wipes, turret winder with printing system, a new non-stop winder with very low tension for highly sensitive materials.

Thanks to its Decoup+® sister brand expertise in ultrasonic technology, combined with Calemard® know-how in machine manufacturing, Spoolex also designs ultrasonic splicing units.

On nonwovens, they provide strong, invisible and reliable plain splices, without additive element. The company is offering two technologies, butt-to-butt or overlap splicing for higher strength, under tailored-made configurations: either complete benches to be integrated in-line or separate off-line equipment. Because ultrasonic splicing solutions help reduce labor content, they are already used by many nonwoven producers all over the world in hygiene cost cautious productions. It’s also an environmentally friendly process with wastage reduction and limitation of pollution risk.
