Tachyon Prioritizes Original and Patented Machinery

Tachyon, the first company in Turkey to perform the “Electropolishing” process, continues to produce environmentally friendly and sustainable finishing machines such as the Pluvia Circum Dye rope washing machine, Pluvia Circum Print, Pluvia Maxime Drum drum washing machine.

Founded in 2000 by four engineer colleagues, Tachyon continues its activities in Çorlu. The company produces and exports compact and patented machines that consume less water and energy worldwide. Since Tachyon is an engineering company, it prioritizes the design of all machines to be original and patented.

Zafer Serttaş, Co-Founder of the Company, whom we interviewed as Tekstil Teknoloji magazine, tells the story of the establishment of the company as follows: ‘‘I graduated from Istanbul Technical University, Department of Ship Machinery Management Engineering. After a short period of study, I started to operate in the textile industry. Our company takes its name from the word ‘Tachyon’, which means the theoretical particle faster than light. We think that the word ‘Pluvia’, which means waterfall, reflects the sustainable and environmentally friendly production approach of the Pluvia brand. As Tachyon, we have been contributing to the sector by offering environmentally friendly and energy-saving products by producing CE certified machines under the Pluvia brand since 2013.’’

Minimizes toxic waste emissions

The company, which carries out studies on textile finishing machines as an R&D company, produces textile finishing machines that consume the least water and energy today. Tachyon offers important solutions for the sector by aiming to prevent the formation of high amounts of environmentally harmful waste in the field of dyeing and finishing. The products developed by the company aim to minimize the toxic waste emission resulting from drying and stenter processes by acting on the principles of energy saving, low cost, and high efficiency.

Tachyon manufactures finishing machines such as Pluvia Circum Dye Rope Fabric Washing Machine, Pluvia Circum Print Printed Fabric Washing Machine, Pluvia Maxime Drum Drum Washing Machine for the textile industry. The continuous bleaching line named Pura Bleaching, which emerged as a result of R&D studies, takes up 50% less space compared to classical bleaching lines and saves water and energy to a great extent.

Circum Dye saves more than 60% water and energy

Circum Dye rope washing machine is important in terms of saving over 60% water and energy in post-dye washes.

With Pluvia Circum Print, the fastness-improving washes are completed in rope form again, starting the process in open-wide cabins, providing the necessary waiting times in washing after disperse and reactive printing.

The advantages of Pluvia Maxime Drum Drum washing machine, which can wash the most sensitive fabrics, are as follows:

• It can wash fabrics made of almost all kinds of yarns such as cotton, viscose, modal, tencel, polyester, nylon and blends
• By controlling the fabric tension every two meters, the fabric can be washed without breaking
• Tension controls prevent pilling of fabrics
• The machine reduces energy consumption by 30%
• The most important feature that distinguishes the machine, which can perform knitted raw fabric washing, raw fabric washing, cold bleaching washing and pad batch washing, from European machines is that it takes up 40 percent less space compared to other machines.

The Pura Bleaching continuous bleaching line is a machine that went from R&D to implementation in 2020. The benefits of this product are listed as follows:

• Takes up 50 percent less space than conventional continuous bleaching lines
• Ensuring low consumption and high quality
• Thanks to the design of the machine, processing can start with the demineralization process or the caustic process
• The machine, which bleaches the fabric into a final product, provides half the cost advantage.
• In addition to this machine, an optical bleaching machine can also be added.

 

The machines developed and manufactured by Tachyon are offered as continuous wet processing machines used in textile finishing. Among their most common usage areas are; dyeing and post-printing washings, pre-fixing washings and continuous bleaching and optical machines. Tachyon is also known as the first company in Turkey to perform the ‘‘Electropolishing’’ process. The electro-polishing process, which ensures that the fabrics move freely and do not deform, can use any type of fabric, including silk.
