Serkon Makina Hosted MHGF’s February Board of Directors Meeting
The MHGF, which represents 23 member associations and 15 thousand members from all over Turkey in the fields of textile, ready-made clothing, fashion, leather, apparel, and shoes, held its February board meeting at Serkon Makina. Industry representatives from all over Turkey, including İzmir, Bursa, Ankara, Mardin, Diyarbakır, and Denizli, attended the meeting hosted by TEMSAD. TEMSAD President Adil Nalbant and MHGF President Hüseyin Öztürk were present at the meeting.

Before the meeting, the owner of Serkon Makina, İzzet Savaş, showed his guests around their facilities. Savaş introduced Serkon Fabric Spreading Machine, QBar Fabric Inspection Machine, Fabric Inspection and Spreading Machine, CNC Cutter Fully Automatic Fabric Cutting Machine, and Efficiency Measuring Device Serkon MES. Answering the questions of the guests about the machines, Savaş expressed his gratification to host the MHGF members at his facility.
After the tour of the production facility, TEMSAD Secretary-General Hayri Etçi made a presentation about TEMSAD activities. Etçi also shared the import and export figures of the Turkish textile machinery industry for 2021.
After the presentations, the board of directors meeting was held where the problems of the sector were discussed and the roadmap for the new year was drawn. In his opening speech, MHGF President Hüseyin Öztürk summarized the activities of the federation. He said that as MHGF, they cooperated with 35 universities, collaborated with more than 30 cities and brought sector representatives together. Öztürk stated that they will continue to bring their members together with machinery manufacturers and thanked İzzet Savaş for his hospitality.

Serkon Makina, owned by İzzet Savaş, hosted the February Board of Directors meeting of the Fashion and Apparel Federation (MHGF). MHGF President Hüseyin Öztürk presented a plaque to İzzet Savaş.
In his speech, TEMSAD President Adil Nalbant provided information regarding the recent developments in the Turkish textile industry. Nalbant, who stated that they have increasing investments in almost every field of textile in the country, continued as follows, ‘‘Especially in the last period, investments in yarn, knitted fabric and technical textiles have been realized intensively. Our textile machinery manufacturers are working hard in the field of dyeing, finishing, printing machines, and spare parts for all machines.’’ Nalbant finalized his speech by thanking İzzet Savaş, who hosted the representatives of the textile industry. The members of the board of directors who took the floor at the meeting gave information about their activities.
After the meeting, all the guests had the opportunity to watch the wedding dress fashion show organized by the Ricchezza Wedding Dress Company, owned by Servet Babataşı, Member of the Board of Directors of MHGF, at the Şerefiye Cistern.
