The way to have a voice in the international arena is to create brands with high added value, that are innovative and that add privilege to people’s lives. For this, it is of great importance that our companies have the competencies to be able to read consumption patterns and consumer trends, blend high and fast production capacity with quality production understanding and offer it to customers.” he said.
Speaking at the award ceremony, Mustafa Gültepe said: “Our textile sector played a leading role in the development of our Republic, which was founded 100 years ago. We cannot think of the textile sector, which pioneered the industrialization process of Anatolia, as independent from ready-to-wear and ready-to-wear textile as independent from ready-to-wear . These two sectors have a special place in the development of our country and in the process of opening up to foreign markets. Today, we maintain the importance of textile for our country’s economy with our production, employment and exports. According to June data, the two sectors employ 1 million 100 thousand people. In 2022, their total exports exceeded 31.5 billion dollars.”

Ahmet Öksüz stated that the textile industry, which is the fifth largest textile exporter in the world and the second largest supplier of the EU, has a respected place in the world: “I congratulate all companies that contribute to the country’s exports and win awards. I would like to thank all our exporters who are working hard to increase our exports, which is the building block of our country’s economy. We are trying to bring factories back to production in Turkey’s textile cities such as Kahramanmaraş, Gaziantep and Adana, while at the same time trying to maintain our competitiveness as a result of the global demand contraction. We are taking firm steps towards our goal of becoming the world’s third largest textile exporter with our exporters who take Turkish products and Turkish designs to all four corners of the world even in these conditions where global demand is shrinking, economic conditions are aggravating and competition is intensifying.”
Öksüz stated that the Turkish textile industry is among the leading countries in the world with its modern production infrastructure and integrated production power: “We aim to introduce these lands, where the story of our textile industry began, and the traditional weavings of Anatolia to the world with modern designs. In this context, with our “Turkey Weaving Atlas” project carried out under the President of the Republic, we aim to spread the story of our industry, which was kneaded in this geography 100 years ago, to the world thanks to our exporters. Today, thanks to this project, one of the world’s biggest brands is creating special collections for our traditional fabrics.”
