Representatives of the Textile Industry Met with Global Buyers at Texhibition
Global buyers and industry representatives came together at the fair, which was held in cooperation with the Istanbul Textile and Raw Materials Exporters’ Association (İTHİB) and the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce (İTO). Visitors from 85 different countries came to the fair, which was attended by 425 domestic and foreign companies. The fair, which was organized in two halls last year, was held in 3 halls this year and spread over an area of 15 thousand m2.
“Our most important sensitivity is; always taking the quality of our fair to the next level”
Ahmet Öksüz, Chairman of Istanbul Textile and Raw Materials Exporters’ Association (İTHİB), said that although the fair was held for the third time yet, it is one of the largest textile fairs in Turkey. Öksüz: “At our fair in this period, we brought together thousands of qualified buyers from European Union countries, England, the USA, North African countries, and the Middle East with our companies. We extended our fair, which we held in 2 halls last year, to 3 halls. Our most important sensitivity regarding our fair is to always bring the quality of our fair to the next level by growing in a controlled manner.”

“We continue to produce and add value to the global textile industry and Turkey”
Ahmet Öksüz stated that the Turkish textile industry, which exports to more than 200 countries and regions a year, closed the year 2022 with an export of 13 billion dollars at the same level as the previous year. “Ahmet Öksüz said; “We aim to maintain our export level of 13 billion dollars in 2023. Within the scope of the distant country strategy of the Ministry of Commerce, we will focus more on countries with a high export potential. This year, we will come out stronger on the field in countries such as the USA, Chile, Brazil, the Dominican Republic, South Korea, and Australia. As İTHİB, we are planning 20 fairs and delegation activities, 10 of which will be held for the first time in 2023. We are here; we keep producing and bringing value to Turkey and the international textile sector. We will express our message with our loudest voice this year.”
