The Yarn Manufacturing Industry, Expectant of an Export Record, Met at Tüyap

International Istanbul Yarn Exhibition, the highly anticipated organization of the yarn industry, opened its doors at Tüyap Fair and Congress Center. The exhibition, which lasted until February 26, witnessed numerous collaborations for 3 days.

The yarn manufacturing industry, which has made an export attack in recent years, increases its production quality and speed day by day. Yarns, the most important raw material of the ready-made clothing and textile industry, continue to display a stance that demonstrates the potential of our country in the industry to the world. Through the power obtained from this potential, the official opening of the International Istanbul Yarn Exhibition, which has shown its success in the past years, was held at Tüyap Fair and Congress Center.

At the opening ceremony, Tuyap Exhibitions Production Inc. General Manager İlhan Ersözlü shared his views on the event and stated the following, ‘‘As Tüyap Fair Organization Group, we are happy to organize this exhibition, which we have prepared meticulously for the yarn industry. 255 companies and company representatives from 15 countries attend our organization, exhibiting their products that reveal the latest trends in the sector. Companies from important countries such as China, Indonesia, and Italy are participating in the exhibition whereas India, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan attend the exhibition with national participation. We think that the interaction to be established here will contribute to new collaborations. In addition, KOSGEB and the Ministry of Trade support the participants of the Istanbul International Yarn Exhibition this year as well.’’

Emphasis on sustainability

The issue of sustainability, which increases its importance day by day, was also discussed at the Istanbul International Yarn Exhibition. The yarns produced through recycling were also exhibited at the organization to contribute to the zero waste issue. In this way, the exhibition, which highlights its environmentalist aspect, contributes to the future. In addition, thousands of yarn types, bobbins, and reels from cotton to wool, from elastane to acrylic, from silk to viscose were presented to ready-to-wear and textile professionals at the exhibition. The exhibition, where interested parties could see many product options at the same time and place, became a beneficial platform where new business contacts were established.

Seamless business connections with digital solutions

Through the digital solutions offered by Tüyap Fair Organization Group, the exhibitors and visitors of the International Istanbul Yarn Exhibition came together digitally through the Business Connect Program, the online business networking platform, and were able to arrange meetings and maintain their communication from here. The Business Connect Program made an uninterrupted contribution to the business connections of exhibitors and visitors, covering before, during, and after the exhibition, on February 21 – March 4, 2022.
