Özdemir Ersoy, LGM Group Ütü Makineleri Sales and Marketing Director
LGM Group, which also produces in the hosiery and denim sector, manufactures ironing and press equipment in accordance with international quality standards. On behalf of LGM Group Ütü Makineleri one of the leading brands in the sector, we interviewed Özdemir Ersoy, LGM Group Sales and Marketing Director, for our Tekstil Teknoloji magazine.
What are your views on the contributions of the IGM 2022 Exhibition to the sector?
LGM Group is a 30-year-old company. We also have a background and experience in the suit industry. We know sewing, fabric, steam, etc. We spent the last three years doing R&D in the hosiery and denim industry. We aim to be a world brand. We made the agreements, we got the signatures, and in the future, we will announce our name even more with new connections that will shake up the Turkish denim industry. IGM 2022 is an important international exhibition and now has a brand value. We are a company that has proven itself in Turkey. Now it’s time to open up to the world. We attended IGM 2022 because we wanted to expand our recognition abroad. Our expectations were high and it was met.
What were the products you introduced at the IGM 2022 Exhibition?
We make solution machines for every garment and textile-related product, including hat presses, hosiery, ironing presses, combed cotton and suits. We are an R&D company. We iron about 80 percent of the clothes a person wears. Our product range is very wide. We are one of the manufacturers of the best presses in the world. We aim to work with the best on a customer basis and with brands that want to be successful in their business. We do not aim to sell products to everyone. We work with customers who want to buy quality products.
What distinguishes the products you exhibited at the exhibition from your competitors?
We make a difference with the life of the the materials used. We can offer our customers a 10-year or 15-year warranty on certain products. We also produce machines that save energy and personnel costs. When the customer buys a machine from us, they will know that with one machine and one staff, they will do twice the work they did before.
What would you say about the position of Turkey’s garment and ready-to-wear sector today?
Textile will always be one of the most important business lines. After the pandemic was over, people in the sector could not keep up with the orders. The sector is very happy, and we are happy too, because as they produce, they started to need new machines. Turkey is indispensable for the world especially about fashion.
