“We Unveiled Our Next-Generation Stenter Machine for the First Time at ITM 2026”
Textile finishing machinery manufacturer Kıray Makina introduced its newly developed next-generation stenter machine to industry professionals for the first time at ITM 2026. Mehmet Aydın Emir, Production Manager at Kıray Makina, emphasized the international significance of the exhibition, stating that ITM has evolved into a globally recognized brand. He also noted that digitalization, process management, and automation investments will play a decisive role in shaping the future of textile manufacturing.
Could you briefly introduce the products and technologies you showcased at ITM 2026?
ITM 2026 was another important milestone for us, just as the previous edition was, as it marked the launch of a new machine. This year, we introduced our next-generation stenter machine to visitors for the very first time.
The development process began in the final months of last year, and we worked intensively on the project from February until the exhibition. We believe this machine offers significant advantages over conventional stenter machines. It provides up to 35% space-saving capability and has been designed to be fully dismantled for transportation. This eliminates many of the installation and logistics challenges customers may face, such as limited factory access or space constraints. We believe we have developed a truly innovative machine, and we are confident it will be successful.

How do you evaluate the importance of ITM 2026 for the textile machinery industry? Do you believe the exhibition will contribute to creating new business opportunities for your company?
When we talk about ITM, we are no longer talking simply about a trade fair—we are talking about a strong international brand. I say this as someone who has attended numerous exhibitions around the world. Istanbul itself is a city that people from all over the world want to visit, and the organization of ITM is truly world-class.
The quality of both exhibitors and visitors is exceptionally high. Looking at the statistics from the previous edition, we can see that participants and visitors from more than 100 countries attended the exhibition. This clearly demonstrates ITM’s international strength. Naturally, our expectations are equally high.
“Technology is No Longer an Option—It Is a Necessity”
What major changes have taken place in the textile machinery industry since ITM 2024? How has your company adapted to these changes?
The market was much stronger in 2024. Textile production was performing well, which resulted in high demand for textile machinery. During that period, we launched our carpet washing machine, which quickly gained recognition as one of the most water-efficient machines in its segment.
Today, however, we are facing a much more challenging market. Under these conditions, I believe companies should focus on material management, process management, and data collection. Efficient material management and well-organized production processes provide significant advantages, particularly during periods of reduced market demand.
From a technological perspective, measurement systems, robotics, ERP software, and digital tools that support production planning are no longer optional—they have become essential. While developing our new stenter machine, we invested in advanced measuring equipment. The efficiency analyses obtained through these technologies enabled us to make our machine significantly more efficient and effective.
If you had to describe ITM 2026 in a single word, what would it be?
Choosing just one word is difficult, but I would say “reliable.” ITM is a trusted, strong, and well-established exhibition for our industry. Over the years, it has built a solid brand reputation and has become an important meeting point for both exhibitors and visitors.
