Yünsa Increased Its Turnover by 425 Percent in the Second Quarter
In the first 6 months, the company’s turnover reached 478 million TL and net profit reached 117 million TL. With its successful financial performance, Yünsa increased its turnover by 5 times in the first half of 2022 compared to the same period of the previous year and reached 478 million TL, while its net profit reached 117 million TL.
‘‘Exceeded our 2022 net profit target in 6 months’’
Mustafa Sürmegöz, General Manager of Yünsa, stated that they achieved a very successful performance in the first 6 months of 2022, which they started with great goals, and continued as follows, ‘‘We closed the first half of 2022, which we started with excitement, with a successful performance and started to demonstrate the great potential of our company. At the beginning of the year, we announced a turnover of 1 billion TL and a net profit target of over 100 million TL for 2022. When we evaluate our performance in the first 6 months, we are moving towards our target with a turnover of 478 million TL. In net profit, we managed to exceed our year-end target with TL 117 million in the first half of the year.’’
Sürmegöz, then expressed that ‘‘We have updated our net profit target for 2022 to TL 200 million thanks to the positive effects of our successful efforts to reduce our production costs and the savings actions we have taken, effective working capital management, good management of financing costs and the increase in exchange rates.’’
On the other hand, Sürmegöz noted that in the second quarter of the year, as a result of the effective and successful work of the sales and marketing team, they tripled the sales amount compared to the same period of the previous year and added, ‘‘I am very pleased with the high belief of my colleagues in Yünsa’s potential and the ever-increasing trust of our stakeholders in our company.’’
2022 is the year of investment at Yünsa
Explaining that they continue to realize the investments they announced in the first days of the year, Mustafa Sürmegöz said, ‘‘We make various investments to increase our production and sales volume. First of all, we started with our dye house investment and now we are renewing our weaving looms. We will commission these looms, which will increase our capacity, at the end of the year. In the coming periods, investments and projects that are innovative, increase our productivity and serve our sustainability strategy will continue to be at the top of our agenda.’’
