5 Million Dollars Exports Achieved at Çukurova Textile and Clothing Exhibition
The Textile and Ready-to-Wear Garment Exhibition, which was organized for the first time in the region, attracted great attention both domestically and internationally. The exhibition, welcoming the representatives from the relevant sectors from all around Turkey, brought commercial procurement delegations consisting of 250 people from 34 countries together with the giant manufacturers of the industry.
Exhibition of the innovations and first occurrences, TÜYAP Adana Çukurova Textile, and Ready-to-Wear Garment Exhibition attracted great attention. Industry professionals, who had the opportunity to access all kinds of products from women’s clothing to men’s clothing, from children’s clothing to various fabrics, at once, made significant business connections at the exhibition. The exhibition hosted 10 thousand 456 industry professionals in 5 days, and moreover, visitors from all over Turkey attended the exhibition together with the procurement delegations of the leading brands. Indicating that the exhibition was quite effective and qualitative compared to the first year that it was organized, the industry representatives underlined that they could not find this quality and features even in the international exhibitions.
At the exhibition, which came through with the content and satisfaction of all the participating exhibitors and visitors, the attending companies achieved a business volume amounting to 5 million dollars. A significant economic contribution was provided to the industry at the exhibition, which allowed the firms to make business connections amounting to 15-20 million dollars.
TÜYAP Adana Regional Manager Salih Gökmen stated that the success of the exhibition organized for the first time in the region satisfied them substantially, and further expressed the following: ‘‘Çukurova Textile, and Ready-to-Wear Garment Exhibition, which was organized for the first time in the region, hosted representatives of the industry from every corner of Turkey, from Van to Denizli, from Gaziantep to Samsun, and from Istanbul to Izmir. We even hosted 2 guests from abroad, from American Samoa Islands, at the exhibition. These guests came to the exhibition themselves just by hearing about it. We carried out our promotional activities in 22 countries that we have determined in accordance with Adana Ready-to-Wear Garment Industry Platform. However, our exhibition attracted so much attention that participating companies and visitors from 34 countries attended the exhibition. Next year, we will organize this exhibition with a lot more participants in a much larger area. The textile industry in the Çukurova region demonstrated its strength and place in the sector once again through this exhibition.’’
Birkan Işık, Vice President of the Adana Chamber of Commerce and Member of the Adana Ready-to-Wear Garment Industry Platform declared that the participants were very satisfied with the Exhibition, continued as follows: ‘‘For the Textile and Ready-to-Wear Garment Sector, this exhibition was essential. We have endeavored great efforts for the Exhibition as TÜYAP and Adana Ready-to-Wear Garment Industry Platform for 1 year. We were rewarded for our efforts with the satisfaction and contentedness of all participating companies. We have already initiated the works for the coming year. Next year, we will open the exhibition, carrying it one step further and transforming our deficiencies into advantages.’’
Professional Attendants from 34 Countries
Commercial procurement delegations consisting of 250 people from 34 countries including American Samoa, United Kingdom, the United States, Italy, Germany, France, Spain, Greece, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Netherlands, Croatia, Kosovo, Poland, Iraq, Palestine, Jordan, Egypt, Libya, Sudan, Morocco, Israel, Tunisia, Lebanon, Algeria, Austria, Brazil, The Republic of Northern Cyprus, Moldova, Oman, Slovenia, Yemen, Syria, and the United Arab Emirates was hosted at the exhibition for 5 days. Exhibitors made important business contacts by conducting B2B meetings in the specially prepared meeting areas with domestic and international visitors.
