Turkey is One of the Countries Fadis Sold the Most Machines in 2022
Debora Carabelli, Managing Director of Fadis
We interviewed Debora Carabelli, Managing Director of Fadis, for our Tekstil Teknoloji magazine. Carabelli, who was first asked about the evaluations of 2022, “The year 2022 ended in a positive way, better than expected. Production increased by 40% compared to the previous year and even exceeded the volumes of 2019, the last pre-covid year. We delivered machines to more than 30 countries of the world and Turkey ranks among the top positions.” said.
“We Haven’t Had Any Problems with Our Orders And Sales”
Carabelli stated that the war between Russia and Ukraine has certainly increased the energy problems and the increase in raw material prices that started at the end of 2021. “For the moment we have not have problems with orders and sales and above all with deliveries thanks to very careful planning. Fadis had already invested, in 2011, in an important photovoltaic system which almost completely satisfies the company’s needs.” Carabelli said.
Debora Carabelli, who said that they always pay attention to the products they develop are sustainable and environmentally friendly, gave the following examples: “As already mentioned in answer 2 Fadis has always been very attentive to Energy efficient and innovative machines, with reduced environmental impact. Through its SINCRO range precision winding machines and “Open Platform”, Fadis has dedicated much attention to reducing power consumption.
Using latest generation Brushless motors technology with step motors has allowed, since 2013, to reduce the energy consumption by more than 12%, thus emitting far less CO² in the air. The energy consumption per kWh/kg of the Sincro precision winding machine, one of the range’s top models, is equal to 0,0508 with a CO2 eq./produced yarn release value of 0,242.
Thanks to this saving, the SINCRO range precision winding machines consume much less energy than any similar machine available on the market. Another fundamental aspect of eco-sustainability is the extremely compact size of our machines, resulting in lower investment in premises, less lighting of these and thus a larger environmental protection of “green spaces”.
Besides developing energetic savings for its products, Fadis also invested in the production process by using the sun as a renewable energy source, thus becoming completely energy autonomous. In fact, a photovoltaic system with 460 kW peak production has recently been inaugurated; its annual production of 650.000 kW allows a reduction of CO2 emissions in the atmosphere equal to 11,6 tons. All these points indicate that to buy FADIS machines means to care for the protection of the environment!”

“6% Growth is Expected in the Spinning Machinery World Trade in 2023”
Stating that the 2023-2026 period forecasts published by ACIMIT give important clues about the export markets of textile machinery, Carabelli continued as follows: “The 2023-2026 scenario of world trade in the sector shows an increase, as the average annual change expectation of 4.8%. For 2023, in particular, a growth rate is expected for the world trade in spinning machines by 6% in euro values. This will be followed by a stabilization of the increase on values slightly below 4% in the two-year period 2024- 2025. Then, growth in 2026 will settle at 5%. China, Turkey, India, Bangladesh and Pakistan will be the main importers of spinning machines in 2026. In the forecast scenario, the major contributions to the growth of world imports of the sector are expected to come from from China (+262 million euros cumulative between 2022 and 2026), Turkey (+216 million euros) and India (+122 million euros).”
Reminding that their main target is to invest 10% in R&D activities in 2023, as every year, Carabelli said,
“We continue developing new machines, software and processes. At ITMA 2023 we will be present with many novelties.”
